Just recently bought the Gen 1 13" 7.62x39, I was really digging the look of the short rs regulate hanguard and from what ive gathered i need the gar-5m-n but seems to be discontinued, even midwest industries version, any place I can still get one?

From what I remember RS is planning on doing a run of them before the end of the year.

Want to, need to catch up on Gen 2 backlog. We only have one machine running rails so it’s a bit busy

I am looking for the same rail. I reached out to miakman (RS regulate). He’s a super cool dude. He said his priority right now is catching up with the demand for the gen 2 rails and then he would re-visit other stuff when he was caught up. There’s no tentative date and he said for us to just keep it on his radar but not be annoying about it. Which is respectable.

So it’s not the GAR - 6M- N that works for the Gen 1 13”. 7.62x39???

From what I gather Is yes the limited run gen 1 13" 7.62 will need the 5m

Thats the g1 pistol gas length. Weird I know but g1 rifle length gas options are 5, 10 & 14". 308 pistol is yet another unique size, 9" iirc.

Then theres the bolt variants, two of those.

Now add in the new g2 types and you have a lot of models to track.

6” for pistols(short gas system). 5” for “rifle” length gas….
