Bearded dragons

Hey all. I am helping out a neighbor with finding someone who can take in two adult bearded dragons( male and female ). Their BDs are very accustomed to being held and being let out to wonder around for an hour to so every other day.
Their young cat has decided that he’s going to get into one of the bearded dragon enclosures (Terrarium) regardless and looses his bearings when the BDs are out and about and he (cat) can’t harass them.
Anyway, they reached out to the local Raleigh rescue and they were told there’s a 10 month waiting list for lizards and whatnot so, I thought I’d ask here.
The two BDs have their own terrarium complete with heat lamps and they are located in Fuquay Varina (of course ). They would prefer someone with experience and who would give them the attention they’re used to.
Thanks in Advance

Ting internet in service in FV

We've signed a contract to purchase a house in Fuquay and it looks like Ting and Spectrum are available where we're buying (kinda NE of N Judd Parkway). I seriously want to avoid Spectrum but how reliable is Ting and are you getting the advertised speeds? Also, all I can find as far as options are the 2GB plan - is there a 1GB plan like I have with GFiber where I am now? Thanks!

Does anyone know why Sunset Lake Rd is closed at the intersection of Hilltop Needmore Rd and Bass Lake Rd?

Fuquay-Varina isn't quite as woke as Durham, but it's growing rapidly and hard to tell what people here think sometimes. I need to try their Texas style smoked meat before I decide if all the hullabaloo would be worth it.

Fuquay-Varina uses multiple yard-waste vendors. Apex says it can’t secure a long-term grass processor

I’m the News & Observer reporter who wrote this story.

Apex is considering ending curbside grass-clipping collection because officials say they can’t find a nearby processor willing to take its volume over the long term.

I compared Apex with Cary, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina and Morrisville. Fuquay-Varina handles yard waste very differently: service is available by request, grass clippings go in rigid containers, and the town uses three vendors rather than relying on one long-term disposal contract.

Fuquay-Varina collected 2,480 tons of yard waste last fiscal year.

For Fuquay residents: how well does the current yard-waste system work for you?

Wake County Missed connection - Triple Barrel Tavern

Was out shooting pool with my best friend from highschool, 10/2 at Triple Barrel Tavern, and completely missed on asking for your number. We were at the back middle pool table (facing the entrance), and you were the tall one in yellow boots and jeans, with a yellow and pink layered top (tour female friend was saying you pulled her away from her book). I was so caught up in our game when not giving you shot tips that I completely forgot to ask for your number .

To be completely transparent, he said y'all were prolly lesbian or bi, but I don't trust his judgement (and he has a terrible track record, even with people i set him up with) At the very least, I'd love to shoot pool with you again at some point, and maybe take things from there

Fuquay In search of taxidermy services nearby

Hey gang, probably a weird question but y'all wouldn't happen to know of anybody who could help preserve a cool animal skeleton I found walking the dog, would you?

Not exactly inclined to take a pass at the trade myself, pretty sure it's a raccoon spine and complete skull.

Can try to take pictures to identify if anyone is curious, just looking for the right person to help out real quick!

Varina What’s Halloween like in Fuquay-Varina?

This is our first halloween in town and I’m trying to figure out how much candy to buy lol. It seems like there are tons of families so I’m leaning toward a lot of trick or treaters? Thank you!

Fake coyotes are fooling people around Wake County — not just geese

I cover Western Wake for The News & Observer. What started as a funny Cary Animal Services call turned into a story about people across the Triangle mistaking wildlife decoys for actual animals.

One Cary resident called a school. A North Raleigh couple turned their car around to rescue one. And near Apex, geese were peacefully grazing about 50 yards from another fake coyote.

Has one ever fooled you?

Fuquay Looking to buy a home in Fuquay Varina. Is Pulte homes any good? I read the good and bad reviews but would like to hear more. I am not local. Any builders you would recommend? Thanks!

The good reviews are really good and the bad reviews are horrendously scary.

Political signs? How long do we need to be bothered with these!

Why do we have to see these signs so early. Honestly, it’s so annoying to see the same person every 10 feet and makes me not want to vote. They should get 2 weeks with posted signs.

Willow Spring Pharaoh Ants are driving me 🥜! Any pest control recommendations?

They're attacking from all sides and have breached the inside. Trying to kill them with Harris Teeter ant bait and trying to disrupt their trails with vinegar. They just keep coming, help!

Where should I go for my birthday? (turning 22, I love plants)

Edit: Guys please stop recommending me parks, or stuff that is way over an hour away. I already said in my post that that is too far :(

I'm willing to go outside of Fuquay, up to an hour away. I like nature but not hiking. I've been to the museum of life and science many times and loved the bugs, butterflies, and plants. I've been to a few botanical gardens like Juniper Level, NC botanical garden, Sarah P Duke Gardens. Those were generally all nice. I loved the carnivorous plants especially. The NC museum of natural sciences' real nature section with the sloth is closed for the summer so can't go there.

I would prefer something more structured than just a regular park. I haven't lived in fuquay long, but I have lived in NC for most of my life so I feel like I'm running out of stuff lol. If you have something nature adjacent I'm open as well, like I heard about "Blue Diamond Gemstone Panning" in Cary where you pan for rocks and take them home. But I think it's more for kids, I've never been though.

TLDR: No hiking or regular parks, but plant/bug related or honestly any nature-adjacent activities are great!
