I really appreciate how she calls out the stuff that we’re normally expected to just be fine with. She has given me more confidence to speak up when I feel uncomfortable even when other people tell me not to say anything

The episodes where people are either in on the joke, or not necessarily in but ready to dance, are delightful. (Vince Staples is a Ziwe Hall of Famer, I cannot imagine anyone ever holding their own against Ziwe better than he did.) But when they don't really get it, it's nigh torturous; and it almost always makes the guest look stupid, and not necessarily deservedly. I think I find her show hard to watch sometimes for that reason, because I find myself really perseverating on how I'd feel if I came off as badly as that specific guest did.

I was surprised that her interview with Leslie Jones was as rocky as it was. I would have assumed someone with a comedy - and especially a sketch comedy - background would have been able to lock in relatively quickly, but Leslie just seemed irritated the whole time. I do think people who are promoting a specific project should avoid Ziwe unless they're willing for the interview to go completely off the rails and never actually touch on the project.
