I installed this kernel on old hardware (Intel HD 3000 igpu) to check the performance improvement, and i got stable 150 fps in minecraft 1.8 / stable 120 fps in minecraft 1.21 whereas i only had 60-80 fps in both versions using the default kernel.

After the end of Windows 10 support I upgraded my hardware with EndeavourOS dual booting with windows 10. The personalization and flexibility of this OS is just mind blowing with hundreds of themes and user interfaces while keeping the freedom that arch provides!

I've been using EOS for almost 5 months now, both on my work machine and my personal machine.

I've been a Linux user since 2014. Over the years, I've used Ubuntu, Debian, Mint, Pop! OS, Fedora, CachyOS, and vanilla Arch with i3, Sway, and Hyprland. I've even tried Omarchy and Hyprland + Quickshell, but in the end, I settled on EOS.

In the last 5 months, I've faced zero issues on my work machine, which I regularly use for 8-10 hours a day with lots of tabs, windows, and applications running.

On my personal machine, I game, vibe code, study, watch videos, etc., and I've also faced zero issues so far.

At this point, I can finally focus on my work instead of fighting with the OS.

Hooked up my Geekom A5 2027 mini PC (Ryzen 7 7730U) to the living room TV and running EndeavourOS on it, works like a charm. Mini PC and peripherals sitting on an IKEA Kallax under the TV, nice and clean.

Yes, the TV supports higher resolutions, but I set it to 1080p because I'm old and it's easier on the eyes 😅

Wayland runs rock solid on the TV, no scaling or refresh rate issues. Wireless keyboard and mouse so I can control everything comfortably from the couch. Highly recommend this kind of "living room Linux" setup if you don't want to give up your desktop comforts.

I just need to know how I can permanently replace the fastfetch logo with the Arch logo, and then I'll truly be all set,

About 1 month ago, I posted here a screenshot example of my EvoDevo GRUB theme. The current post is just an update to report on important improvements: the theme (a) now has the ability to rename menu entries as you like, and (b) allows you to preview theme results without rebooting and without needing to install a VM.

Hi! I recently switched from Solus OS to EndeavourOS, so I'm completely new to the Arch community. :) (Little showcase btw)

It's been 4 days since I hopped over from Solus OS to EndeavourOS, and I decided to go straight into Niri. Honestly, I'm absolutely loving the workflow. And here is my Niri Rice. Let me know what you think or what I can improve!

A bit of a showcase of my desk, I think the best way to prove the power of Linux it's to use it in you daily routine, I use this laptop for my school, and do actual work with it, i use the Bluetooth with no problems and sometimes I do some gaming, also I learned a lot about open source programs, and because of that I know how to use Torrents to scape Netflix (if you know what I mean)

I think the reason I love this thing it's because the time I invested on solving some minor issues and because it only have what I need and what I actually use, the best part of this, it's the amount of information I learned about tech stuff and how some things actually work

I had tried Linux multiple times before, but because of my current laptop (Lenovo LOQ with R7 HS and RTX GPU), it didn’t have an iGPU. Whenever I tried to suspend or put the laptop to sleep, the screen would never wake up again. I tried everything, but nothing worked.

Out of the blue, I decided to give EOS another try and to my surprise, after making a simple s2idle change, it finally worked.

Now I’ve fully shifted to Linux for my work. This issue was the only thing holding me back on Windows for so long. Everything is fast now .. XD

I wrote EvoDevo, a configurable GRUB theme with scalable graphics, background blurring, and anti-aliased (i.e., smooth) true-type fonts. Any wallpaper (e.g., your desktop wallpaper) can be used as theme background. Menu colors, transparency, amount of blurring, dimensions, position, font family, and menu messages can all be customized via the installation shell script.

The accompanying screenshot shows a customized GRUB menu with an EndeavourOS community wallpaper. This example is on display (among others) on GitHub. The menu entries may look grainy on Reddit, but rest assured that in real life everything is buttery smooth.

The theme **has** been tested on a VM with EndeavourOS, and I thought EvoDevo could be of interest to this community, due to the high-quality graphics that the theme produces.

Important: for technical reasons, the theme is incompatible with any UKI (Unified Kernel Image).
