"Disable Touch pad when typing" Macbook Pro A1398 late 2013, help

[u/Powerful_Clock9818]

Just installed EndeavourOS on my late 2013 MBP A1398 "Disable Tracpad While Typing" setting is grayed out, spent 3 hours with both chatgpt and Gemini and 19 pages of terminal commands and no help

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
