Question Recovery while taking adderall
As the title says, I am working towards recovery. I take adderall for my ADHD and it has helped me immensely, but unfortunately I deal with pretty nasty appetite suppression because of it. I have already made a lot of progress, especially on my own relationship with food and the mental side of everything. I’m just posting here hoping that maybe someone has dealt with this and might have some advice for me. I wouldn’t say that I am actively deep in my disorder, but I’m kind of stuck at a weird place where I really really want to get better but I still have a very hard time eating enough food.
Important info: I absolutely cannot stop taking the adderall. I struggle with severe executive dysfunction alongside bipolar type 2, and if I stop taking it I will likely go into a severe depressive state (that’s what has happened every other time I’ve tired to stop). I have a few systems in place to ensure that I get enough nutrition despite the appetite suppression. I always carry extra snacks on me and have gotten pretty good at noticing when my body needs a little extra. I never take my meds before breakfast, so I have to have something. My apartment is stocked with foods that I know I like, and usually the higher calorie and protein option when possible. I also have liquid options as I find it’s easier to drink than eat because I just don’t feel hungry. I don’t take the meds on weekends, and usually eat a much better amount on days where I don’t take it. I do not restrict my eating at all on weekends in hopes that it will help make up for weekdays when I struggle more. Full transparency here- I’m a bit of a stoner. I’ve found that on week days if I go home and smoke a little I’ll get the munchies enough to eat something. It works, bus is absolutely not sustainable for me and I’m trying to not do it as often lol.
Does anybody have a tips or tricks? I know that I am on my way to recovery, and that things won’t happen overnight. It’s definitely been an uphill battle and will continue to be, but I really want to make sure I’m doing all the right things to take care of myself. Thanks!

Have you tried titrating down to see your lowest dosage?
Or asked about medical appetite stimulants? To counter your other meds.
Btw, same. I tried to handle my adhd without meds today and it was a shitshow. I don’t want to go to work tomorrow. BUT I ATE!!!
