Dental Professional Doc my tooth still hurts after I went to the emergency dentist. Thanks dear colleague…
This picture was taken after a quick consultation. Quick GP fit to see which hole is which. Crown is also loose, patient comes back tomorrow to see if it’s still salvageable. Probably not, I think the tooth is fractured anyway. Luckily the crown isn’t recent.
Canals weren’t even calcified

You know. I had a bad day today. My contacts were light. I had to renumb a few IANs. A few EXT broke off at the gingiva and required sectioning. But then I see this as think. I am doing okay.

Seeing posts like these is like the dentistry version of watching the old Jerry Springer show. Suddenly, my life seems pretty great!

That does sound like a tough day, if it wasn't part of the joke, I hope you have a better one tomorrow

Those things all happening in the same day is actually an awful day. If I had 2 things go wrong like that I’d be bummed out. If all of those things happened to me in one day I’d probably book a vacation.

Some days you're forceps. Some days you're the tooth. I had a tooth day. All better today.

At least it's to working length

I was thinking this, like I've seen perfs but perfs to perfect working length through bone is something else - wouldn't they have felt it when using the endo handpiece?

Same question. Maybe beyond the furcation, the GP is going into soft tissue? Please don't mind if that's a silly question, I'm still a dental student.

Are my eyes deceiving me? Did this dentist perforate through the furcation because they thought the GP was in the mesial canal? Did they not take a post op x-ray when they finished?
I don’t think that tooth can be saved…

No I removed the temporary (patient was in pain) and saw the perf. Put a GP point in (and into the distal for good measure) and took this xray, to show to the patient that this should not be outside of the roots

Ah ok. I see. I misunderstood your original post. Thank you for explaining.

On the bright side, the tooth is already sectioned and prob can use a cow horn forecep to completely section and use the elevator to get the two roots out.

Honestly think it’s insane to take a gp film here. Helps the patient zero. Just tell them it’s got to go and pull it.

I hope they have the name of that dentist and sue the shit outta them. Practitioners like that need to be taken out of the pool so they stop giving everyone else a bad wrap

Tooth is already sectioned. They set that up for you, just pop an elevator in and twist!
