The mods have recently been doing some construction behind the scenes which may cause some things to be weird or messed up on the sub. While looking into some automatic moderation tools, we discovered that Reddit has an entire library of apps that can be added to a sub to do things like help with the moderation and do some other fun stuff that we have not fully explored yet. While we experiment with these apps, there may be some weird things posted that are incomplete and/or unintentional. If you notice anything that doesn't seem normal or you just don't like some of the changes we make, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via the ModMail.
Thanks - The Mods
P.S. I hope yall like the image i photoshopped

I know the episode with Ellie was meant to raise awareness about self-harm, and I don’t blame the show or the writers at all. But I’ve always found it kind of interesting (and a little surreal) that “Whisper to a Scream” is actually where I first got the idea myself. Seeing it on the show is what started me cutting, and it went on for years after that.
I’m not posting this to attack the episode or say they shouldn’t have done it. I get that they were trying to shine a light on a real problem. I just always wondered if I was the only one who walked away from that episode with the opposite of the intended message.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with that one?

In my opinion, i think 25 min format epi for next class didnt fit the netflx model. Feels super rushed of just cramming things , clunky and throwing pasta at the wall.

If you can remember from those from watching the episodes who was the person that had so many abilities and were capable of doing it?

For me personally, Luke and Tristan right now as I’m rewatching season 13.

I personally think Lola was one of if not the worst friend on Degrassi. I really don’t know how her friend group lasted the entire series, I would’ve stopped being friends with Lola/her friend group in season 14.

Come on…that was toxic af right?! They both kinda sucked?! Like not Eli calling her a wh*re and then two seconds later being loving and caring?! What moment did you realize they both sucked?

they CONSTANTLY say they support him. but then force him to girlmode for the dinner with his grandma? from what i can tell he’s been out for a while, so his family should be way better at pronouns and gendered language. it’s so incredibly frustrating. i feel so awful for him.

The scene where Darcy's is in the girls locker room and her wrist is bleeding it's really sad and scary and really serious my question is why did Manny feel the need to turn the water off why didn't she help Darcy immediately

After the extreme abuse and hate towards Maya, pushing Yael to the ground, and bringing a GUN to the dance!? ( which I don’t know if the school ever found out about but that’s ridiculous that they weren’t informed ) like come on, he should be permanently banned.

I'd pick Miles as my pick as a character. My song choice "In Every Dream Home a Heartache" by Roxy Music.
The vibe sets the tone of Miles's have everything he wants but just feels deeply empty inside.

Hey I need help find a song from season 11 ep 270, Need you pt 2.
The opening lyrics were When I need you, you're like a shadow of a ghost, sleeping on the job.
I tried using a song searching thing but it came up with nothing.

it's been like 10 years since i saw these 2 eps for the first time and my GOD it still hits so so hard, i remember so distinctly where i was when i first saw them. and while those eps really are important to me, id give a LOT to have cam survive and be happy

i don't know if this is an unpopular opinio, but i never really cared for holly j and declan as a couple, the way the show portrays their relationship makes me feel like i SHOULD root for them but i just don't. maybe it's because i don't like declan lol but he really did sa holly j. i know she deliberately said she didn't see it as sa but of course she wouldn't. she loves him and would never expect declan to be that kind of guy., i also wish they explored her sexuality a little bit more, it made me sad when fiona was falling in love with her and holly j didn't even consider the possibility

(I Picked Both Of These Characters Because Neither Of Them Got Many Plot Lines)

What do you think of the portrayal of religion in degrassi? This is NOT to start a religion war. I genuinely want to know. We have some characters that were religious, but lost their faith and others who weren’t religious and became religious (Jenna..but I’m not sure if she stayed religious.)
And with the talk of religion, do you think there should’ve been other religions tackled. I know there was Christianity, Islam, Judaism (??), and Catholicism. I also think I saw somewhere that said there was someone who was Hindu but I honestly don’t remember.
Also, do you think the people losing their faith is accurate for this show?
if you take offence to this post, I will gladly remove it. I’m not sure if they can be discussed or not. I just wanted to know
