Love is as felling, something that we feel inside of us and makes us change things, maybe working harder, or trying to look better. But is also something more, is not like been happy or sad, those have exactly situations that make us feel those emotions, but love doesn't have situations it just happens. It could be love for doing something, love for a animal, love for son or mother/father, love for a partner/crush. Love has several shapes, not just one. So a proper defenition on what is late ve is hard to give. If you search on Google the first thing that appears is "Love is a complex set of emotions, behaviors, and beliefs associated with strong feelings of affection, protectiveness, and respect. It ranges from deeply passionate romantic connections to simple pleasures, often defined by a profound, unselfish concern for another's well-being.". Even if I agree with the part that talks about behaviors and beliefs, and the range that has, I don't think is a set of emotions, is just one, and that one makes the other work. I can love a animal so much that when is dead I will be sad and cry. I can love a person so much that I work more just to see that person happy. I can love someone so so much that I choose to let them go so they be more happy with another. So love is a complex emotions that has a lot of shapes and CAN, but not necessarily will, mess with our other emotions, behaviour and beliefs.
If you want a exemples, I been in love with one girl, but I'm cristian and she is muslim, but that never changes our love for each others, and none of us changes your religion because of that.
