I've never met another silky in person and even at the dachshund events at Oktoberfest this past weekend only a couple people knew that he was a full dachshund without me having to explain that he's a mix between a wire hair and a long hair.
I'm wondering how many people on here have either met a silky in person or know that they exist even though they're not a recognized coat.
He's my first Dachshund and I found him roaming the streets as a stray without a microchip or anyone looking for him in the area I found him in. He's incredibly affectionate and snuggly but also stubborn (like a Dox should be) but gets along great with his two younger sisters, a 11 month old Chihuahua Cocker Spaniel mix and a 12 month old German Shepherd Dutch Shepherd mix.

Mr Oakley settling in to his bespoke crate while at work with me 😊 have since removed the bed and water bowl and instead filled it completely with blankets to mimic his home crate.

Murphy is going to be 2 in January. We've had him since he was about 20 weeks old, and he's the sweetest pup in the world. I'd also argue one of the most handsome (photo attached for proof).
We started crate training from the time he came home and he's always been really great about going in when we leave the house or at night to sleep.
About a week ago, he started barking 10 or so minutes after we put him to bed and barks continuously unless we let him out or give him another bedtime snack. Nothing has changed in his routine and he isn't acting differently otherwise.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Signed, a sleep deprived dachshund mom

Everything was normal this morning and he went into his crate by himself for a sleep. After about an hour he got up and has been doing this kind of thing constantly for about 30 mins. He does roll about on this blanket sometimes when he's playing, but this seems very much distressed - tail between his legs, constantly rubbing his head and ocxasionally trying to nibble at his back leg area. He'll then just lie still for 10 mins or so before starting the cycle again.
Trying to figure out if this looks like some kind of know bug / irritation / etc, or if he's just had a bad dream and freaking out about it?
UPDATE: Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. It seems the cure was simply to book an expensive emergency vet appointment and turn up. He was right as rain as soon as we crossed the threshold! 🤬 The vet expressed his anal glands and gave him an anti-inflammatory injection as a precaution so hopefully no more Mr Mopeyface!

Please help.
My new mini puppy is 10 weeks old, i’ve had them about 2 weeks.
They are doing well with potty training, and the crate at night is getting somewhat better, they cry for 10-15m then go to sleep, cry for potty time ~5 hours later, but have trouble going back to sleep after the potty break and cry on and off the rest of the night.
The real issue is the crate or play pen during the day, they absolutely do not want to go in it for naps and freak out if the play pen is shut with them in it. They just want to sleep on me/be with me. I love it but i really don’t want to create separation anxiety.
i feel like i’ve done everything, we have a crate cover, feed all meals in the crate, snuggle puppy, lots of blankets/toys etc. have tried lick mats, chews, kongs, sleep music etc. We play crate games with treats, i’ve tried the short stints sitting beside both the crate and play pen and letting out quickly, trying to wait for them to calm before letting them out etc.
I’m really not sure what else to do, i need to go back to work and need to ensure they have a safe space during the day when i can’t watch them.
I do have an older golden retriever as well if that changes anything.
Pleaseeee help.
