General Discussion What is your crafty commerce?
This sub has a LOT of posts about crochet. So I've been wondering- what do you all do? Is this a majority crochet community or do any of you do any other types of crafty commerce? And how much are you making a year?
I'll start- I have a newish business, I am a yarn dyer and I work with botanical dyes. Last year I broke even after my initial business startup investments, but I had about $15,000 in sales.

Tried generic toys and puzzles when I first started and everyone loved them except when the wallet had to come out. They could get something similar at big box for cheaper. Discovered that personalized, the big boys can’t do.

The only textile based things I make are Kumihimo cord weavers for neurospicy fidgeters.
I wish I could do more with fabric, but it's not where I have the skills.

I make wooden kids toys full time. I sell on Etsy and Shopify. I’ve done $1.4 million dollars in sales in the last 4 years. I make everything myself no employees. I now average $30k to $50k per month in sales with 35% net margins.
My wife does all the shipping and customer service. My Etsy store is just $9k from $1-million in sales. I currently have 3-Etsy marked bestsellers and 2-Etsy picks with only 15 listings.

I knit and crochet and sometimes do cross stitch or sewing. Im not making money at this moment because im doing the SAHM thing with a toddler and just dont have the time but before that I was making a few hundred a month and putting in minimal effort.
Ive started spinning recently so I wouldnt mind switching over to selling handspun yarn at some point.

I'm all over the place. I make wacky things that make people smile.
I do make a bunch of crochet farm fresh plush pets. But I also watercolor, acrylic, and gouache paint. I wood carve. I make necklaces, I illustrate and paint pets.
I haven't added up how I've done this year, but have finally had multiple events I broke 1k in sales.
