If they were able to get a warrant from a DC court they have some good probable cause evidence

An interesting, and accurate assumption.

With all the allegations over the years, what the snowballs chance in hell there is ANY evidence in her home?

Since there's never been any action taken, she may have gotten sloppy and arrogant and made a mistake.

Pretty good considering the warrant came from a DC court.

She should not be allowed to be in any position of power.

•

She shouldn’t be allowed here

I dislike this harpy just as much as the next rational person but this just perpetuates the tit-for-tat cycle of lawfare

•

u/Hoppie1064 Rush was Right 14h ago

If she married her brother for citiernship, then she married her brother for citizenship.

Kicking her out would not be lawfare.

Even though the left will call it that.

•

u/TiberiusDrexelus Conservative 9h ago

I mean it is lawfare, they're investigating her because of her political power, not because of the severity of her crimes

But the Rubicon has been crossed on political lawfare, so oh well!

•

u/pro_nosepicker Compassionate Conservative 7h ago

I’d argue the exact opposite. The only reason she wasn’t investigated earlier and charged was because she was in power. Nobody else gets a free pass like that and Trump has shown that time and time again.
Or perhaps you missed the hundreds of thousands of people who were rounded up and deported before her.

•

u/Hoppie1064 Rush was Right 7h ago

Marrying to cheat the immigration system, even if it's not your brother is grounds for denaturalization and deportation.

And, have you noticed all the people ICE has been arresting and deporting? Hard to say she's being targeted, when she's just one among hundreds of thousands.

No. Lawfare is investigating a political opponent to find a crime.

Lawfare is not what this is which is investigating a crime committed by a politician.

From what I understand the feds got a pretty strong warrant. No tit for tat here.

Dumb take. If Democrats get away with it, why would they ever stop? Ilhan Omar is a criminal and should not be beyond the reach of the law.

because one of his catchiest slogans that resonated with voters was "drain the swamp"

now that he is proprietor of the swamp, he has fully embraced swamp behavior.

lawfare against Cook, Powell

pardons being doled out to undeserving (but politically connected) dirtbags like Trevor Milton

putting unqualified goons in Cabinet (Kennedy & Noem)

enriching his family through sketchy crypto schemes

terrible endorsement choices (Paxton)

don't get me wrong I voted for him both times & democrat shenanigans annoy me far more. but I am just so tired of his crap & 2028 can't come soon enough.

•

u/populares420 MAGA 12h ago

LMAO what an L take. so drain the swamp means we can't pursue a known fraudster? we have to let her prosper? Fuck off with that bullshit.

•

u/pro_nosepicker Compassionate Conservative 7h ago

What he is doing is literally draining the swamp.

Take a hike lib

This psuedo-on board crap has to go. "Come on now guys, I don't like X thing either, but this is [insert whatever bullshit].

There was a warrant issued, there has been smoke around her marrying her brother FOR YEARS, We know every other somali in that POS state is laundering money and shipping it to somalia, but if we decide to take a COMPLETELY LEGAL, and VERY PRECEDENTED step in getting a warrant to search her home it's tantamount to leftist lawfare.

.........Okay.

Name all the people Trump investigated for political cause in his first term.  What's the cycle?  How is it perpetuated?

•

u/MoreFires 3R1C 15h ago

Trump says a lot of things, and some things I wish he would at least stop saying (like "the 2020 election was stolen" or "I won 3 times").

I say this for a reason, being that if I personally was accused of something as absurd as marrying a sibling, first thing I would do would be to go get a DNA test, and then proceed to plaster "Trump lied" by flaunting the results of said test all over every news outlet in existence.

It's weird this hasn't happened.....

The last time someone used DNA to disprove Trump, it didn't end well...

I'm aware of your logic and the concept. But I believe in this case, if it's so blatantly wrong as some would say, Ilhan Omar would benefit greatly from proving him wrong and framing him as a liar.

One could speculate the reason she hasn't done this is because there's something to it.

I know that's a bit of an unfair assumption, but it comes across as very strange to me how democrats would go out of their way to call Trump a liar and anything else under the sun but not disprove this when it's so easy.

•

u/xxasdf Trump Conservative 15h ago

So you are saying that Biden won the 2020 election fair and square? It's not only Trump who is saying the 2020 was stolen , but pretty much every Republican at this point. So you're saying they are all lying and wrong or what?

•

u/MoreFires 3R1C 14h ago

I'm not saying Biden won, I'm not saying Trump won.

I'm saying it's an issue I'm tired of hearing about because to me it doesn't matter, at least not until someone provides definitive evidence that the election was stolen. Again, not saying it wasn't stolen, with whatever one wants to put into that word, but until I'm provided conclusive evidence it was, it remains an event of the past, and I'd rather focus on the monumental achievement of Trump doing a republican version of Grover Cleveland, managing to win with without 2 consecutive terms.

Did you know, a President is given a commemorative display box handcrafted by the White House carpentry shop, often made by salvaged wood from historic White House construction materials, containing the flags flown on the President's inauguration Day and the final flag taken down when they leave?

Considering this is a tradition that was put in effect AFTER Grover Cleveland, Trump will be the first one to receive 2 boxes as his terms are not consecutive.

No. I also think Randy weaver was unjustly murdered, The income tax needs to be repealed, and social security never should have been instituted.

None of that fucking matters right now. Just like it doesn't matter if the dems cheated in 2020, they served their entire term, and dumpstered the fucking country. 'Proving' that, doesn't do anything. Biden won the election. Legislation is being written to address the fraud, because WE ALL FUCKING KNOW ALREADY that they cheated, I mean they wrote a fucking article about cheating to win the election in TIME magazine for fucks sake. Move tf on we have actual shit to worry about.

I'm seeing a lot of my counterparts attempting the 'gotcha' of "Trump needs to prove he's innocent of the Epstein files" or variations thereof, as a rebuttal to my "she should prove she didn't marry her sibling" argument.

They're right in one sense, where Ilhan Omar does not need to prove anything, the burden of proof that she allegedly married her brother, rests on those claiming it.

However, the difference between these 2 analogies (aside from one being vastly worse an accusation than the other) is that someone is actually claiming it. There might be many democrats who might be dancing around this (pedo accusations) with Trump, but the fact remains the same of how a network called Trump a "convicted rapist" and got sued, because defamation exists.

As such, I'll take my previous argument one step further: Not only should Ilhan Omar just take a DNA test and disprove this, but she should and then sue for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ against the people who have made these claims. (Trump sues whenever someone makes untrue statements about him)

I guess she just hates money considering she doesn't......or........................
