This screenshot is from the latest ChatGPT app on Windows 11 and I'm subscribed to the GO plan. The GPT-5.6 Sol is the only model that can be selected. So is OpenAI really giving out Sol for free or Go users to promote the Windows 11 app or is it just a visual bug?

Apart from the well-known messages per hour limit, I stumbled upon another one:

I tried looking for it online, but nothing... This ismaking me ask a lot of questions, like When was it added? After such limit is reached, would the chat just- deny more messages? What if I don't care if I can't "keep responses accurate"? How can I make the limit longer?

Edit: I don't care if the quality goes down a little, as long as it doesn't talk nonsense.

Edit 2: It's a recent addition, else how would I have 200 prompts long old chats, while only 10 prompts long modern chats?

ChatGPT never adheres to them and you would have better results by just putting the instructions in the prompt. I even tried putting a single instruction in the personalization section and then comparing it to adding the instruction at the end of the prompt and it basically completely ignores it if is in the personalization section.

Does anyone have (or know of) a list of irritating phrases that chatGPT 5.6 Sol uses repeatedly? I aim to ban them.

Examples I've come across:

"That distinction matters"
"x is cleaner"
"we, my, I"

Just transitioned from ChatGPT Classic to Upgraded version (horrible) and now can't download or open any ZIPs or files created by ChatGPT, any one any ideas where I'm going wrong as this is really testing my patience now and has wrecked my workflow.

I have switched from Claude because obviously, it wasn't bad bad but compared to what OpenAI offers in the same price is just too good to just pass up. The usage + the new models.

I don't like that it requires your face and ID. I feel that is against my privacy. I remember Sam Altman talking about lowering the sexual censorship but I haven't noticed a difference. Has it rolled out for age verified people? And what else is the difference that I would see?

I genuinely hate handing over my real identity. They have my chats and they can pin point to the real person. Is there any way to trick or fake it?

As the title says when I start new chat on ChatGPT it pulls information from previous chats and makes the new chart a mess. Is there a way to stop this?

I have some questions about collaboration within ChatGpt, maybe somebody can help me out? For our company i want to start with shared projects within ChatGpt (running business with standard seats). So generated content/chats by different users in different departments can be stored in one place.

Did some testing, found out that it kinda "works" in the web application. In the desktop version shared projects are not visible, i am aware that it is a bug.

During a test with a shared project, i am having some troubles. My colleague has started a chat, in which some content was generated (pdf file, and some images). On my side the images are not loaded (greyed out), the pdf file is visible/downloadable. I can see the chat though and also branch from that chat.

The questions.. how do you collaborate with chat? Are there better ways than shared projects?

Anybody experienced the same thing? Is there any way i can access to older models like GPT 5.5 Thinking in chat? Right now i can't even see the model name anymore. Previously, i can select the current and previous gen models with the thinking mode on in chat.

edit: turns out you can change the model in the settings > general. Quite confusing UI...

Both say "unlimited and faster image generation" but is it truly the same amount of "unlimited" as the $200 or is there a catch? if your only purpose with ChatGPT is to get it to generate images all day is there a quantity difference in what you can actually make vs what it says? Nobody has talked about this that I can find and I would often hit the daily limit on the $200 plan quite often so if $100 is less then I'd like to know.

I run a small business solo and I'm on ChatGPT Business, which has a 2 seat minimum. Today I hit my usage limit on my main account while using the Gmail integration and some agent features.

I mainly use the ChatGPT desktop app on Mac

Since I'm already paying for both seats, I want to actually use the capacity of both. From what I understand, included usage is counted per seat, so my plan was to invite a second email I own, assign it the second seat, and switch to it as an overflow when the main one runs out.

What I'd really like to know is whether there's any way to use both seat allowances seamlessly from a single account, basically pooling the included usage of both seats so I never have to switch. And if that's not possible, whether there's any way to keep the two accounts synced or at least make switching painless on the Mac desktop app, like shared chat history, shared memory, shared Projects, anything that helps.

What is the best solution here?

I have recently switched to ChatGPT work from Claude Cowork and find it quite hard to manage skills. I am on the Plus plan. In Claude, you create a skill and it is available online and in the desktop app.

In ChatGPT work, you cann create skills online, which are only available in the chat environment. I can create them in the work cloud environment which are available in the work cloud environment also in the app but are not shown when accessing Plugins -> Skills. I can create them locally of course like in Claude Code/Codex which I then cannot access online in neither environment.

Anybody also finds this confusing? Do you have any best practices how to work with that and how to handle this? I am currently thinking of rolling out ChatGPT work to my team (4 people) but this aspect was much smoother in Claude.

I was wondering why does the popout window automatically use codex? OpenAi says its a chat window and I tend to use it quite a lot. The problem is that I have the Go plan and chatting with codex a lot uses my monthly limit in an hour. Is there a way to change so it uses chat, as OpenAi allows unlimited chats, I dont need codex here. I have Claude subscription for coding.

Does ChatGPT 5.6 Sol on Plus switch you to lower effort models without your knowledge? Say if you're using 5.6 Extra (the maximum on the Plus plan) and you ask one too many questions, do you get switched to Medium without your knowledge?

The previous ChatGPT macOS app let you listen back to any written response using an AI voice. In the new app, that option seems to have been completely removed.
