Adopting this little kitten this weekend! I already have a cat named Tuna and would love to name him something that fits the theme.

My top picks so far -
* Fin / Finn
* Mako

I also like -
* Sardine
* Minnow
* Anchovy
* Nobu

He is 16 lbs and is still growing out his coat after it was shaved down due to severe matting. He is definitely a long hair gentleman, so keep that in mind.

I had been thinking Pavarotti but it’s a bit of a mouthful… I like a distinguished name more-so than a cutesy one. If he was more dainty / delicate it would be Pavlova no question… but he simply is far from a ballerina or a meringue.

Hi all! My fiance and I adopted this precious baby 2 weeks ago. We were told she was a boy and have been calling him Bear for the past two weeks lol. We took her to the vet today and found out she is a in fact, a girl! I don’t feel so bad for not knowing as we checked multiple times and even the vet today struggled to make sure for a minute or two lol! She is very funky, loves to jump like a rabbit. I was thinking of something cute like Petunia or Rosie but I would love to hear some brainstorm ideas now that she’s not a Bear! Thank you!

we adopted this perfect orange baby on Saturday and we’ve been trying out names but nothing has stuck yet. nothing too common for an orange kitty, but do I love a short pet name or a longer name with a and cute nickname! as a starting point, my personal front runners have been Miss Frizzle and Napa, my partner’s are Peach and April! votes for those names are also accepted 🙃 she is super chatty and loves people!

He is super mellow and chill. Suggestions are welcome, no theme. Go insane!

I posted here a few weeks ago asking Reddit to help me name this kitten im trying to catch… and i decided on Trinket!!

Now I need help again, I at first thought this was a dilute Tortoiseshell, or a Dilute Calico, but those are both commonly always girls.. and this cat was caught on video bathing it’s butt, and I think it’s a boy? If you want to help me figure that out i’ll link a post i made on my other account where I post the video :D

My post about kitten gender

But anyways I just wanted to announce that I decided on a name!

He’s the little black tuxedo kitty🥹
Also some context, I would love for it to be either something about his ear or something about where he was found (a bush close to a burning building) and therefore his origin story (rescued by firefighters i guess)
My boyfriend is so bad with names, as am I, so maybe we could get some help to find some :D

Hi! I recently adopted this kitten. I thought she was a black cat at first and named her Nyx, but have since realized she’s quite brown so I feel like I should change it. I DON’T want a food related name, and was planning on keeping a theme of naming cats after Greek gods/ my favorite video game Hades (my last cats name was Athena) but I’m open to other types of names, like maybe something gothic. Please lmk any suggestions you might have!

kind of embarrassed to admit i've had him a month and he still doesn't have a name. nothing i've tried to name him has fit and stuck 😔 i've considered ajax, apollo, helios, and honey. he's about 17 weeks old. any name suggestions are helpful! the white cat is my other cat who already loves him. he also has a dog sibling. the other animals are named kaspar and felix, though i don't generally like human-ish names for animals.

What name comes to mind after looking at him?

This bwoi moved around 6-7x in his short 2.5 year life. He was called Semsem (Arabic for sesame seed), Seth and Rooster and didn't respond to any of them. Perhaps because he never spent long anywhere. He's a Persian and something mix from Egypt. I DON'T want a typical black cat cliché name like Onyx or Shadow etc. I don't know much about his personality as he is not at home with us yet. I was told he is super chilled, conflict-avoidant, when he was being bullied by other cats in the street he didnt fight back just walked off. I was told he likes creamy treats and is calm and cuddly from videos I was sent by the rescue org...limited info, sorry. Last picture is of a similar looking cat LEFT and him on RIGHT. I think he MIGHT look like this once his fur grows, back who knows, I am a cat newbie, but it looks to me like his current foster doesn't look after his fur well and didn't comb it, it got matted, and they chopped it off? So maaaybe his will look like that too or similar.) THANK YOU ♡

EDIT : I have decided to name her Mira!! Smudge/Hobo/Honey will likely be what I call her as nicknames. I do appreciate all of your help with helping name her!!

I found her as a stray a month or so ago, and then adopted her from the humane society after they checked to see if she had a home.

She has a huge personality - super friendly, cuddly, lovable. She meows and sticks her tongue out and is constantly walking around with her tongue sticking out.

My other cats have human names (Minerva is one of them) so I wanted to stick to a similar theme - but it's been hard naming her.

The name they gave her was Synechiae because she has that in her left eye 😭

I can't think of anything though. I've been through circles of just ending up calling her hobo cat because she was a stray.

I liked Echo and Freyja but after trying those, they don't seem to fit.

Please help lol

We found these little boys today and we’ve decided to name the more skittish one Newt, but need a good name for the outgoing boy! We thought about Toad and decided no to that one
