Only in free, capitalist societies can individuals truly live their lives to the fullest.

Socialism will always be an ideology for the stupid and evil. Capitalism is freedom, socialism is slavery.

Exactly, I 100% agree with this.

You know, it really is a damn shame that an ideology that has murdered millions is still being pushed by scumbags as a moral good. But, people (here in the US at least, not sure about other countries) don’t actually know the proper definitions of capitalism and socialism (and are not educated on why socialism always fails).

I know; that's why I think sharing the message of Ms. Park is so important. She is one of the few modern figures who have directly experienced both options and can tell from firsthand experience why one is objectively better than the other.

But something something infrastructure is socialism because some pundit says so!
Seriously though the problem is with politicians like Mamdani and Al Sayed themselves not knowing what it means.
It's either the worst thing ever in state ownership or a worker rights pipedream in "libertarian" socialism.

Is she too poor to afford pixels?

No asshole, I had to download the short at lower video quality to retain the audio quality.

Spend more?

Why...? The quality looks fine to me. And the visual isn't what's important; the message is.

Is Stanford still more dangerous than North Korea? Or did she change her stance on that after pushing our trains around for us?

u/Wise-Potential-170 2d ago
At least get your facts right, dumbass. She attended Columbia, not Stanford.
And I’m not sure why everyone finds it so hard to believe the train pushing thing. A group of people and individuals can do incredibly physically demanding things when their lives depend on it.

Oh sorry about that. I was too young to remember the facts right when I wrote that message. I’ll make another factual mistake in my next podcast.
Can’t you guys find better mascots for capitalism? You’re super scraping the barrel with depending on someone that makes a career out of lying.

We actually can’t find better capitalist mascots. Ms. Park is as good as it gets.
And for the record, most of the ‘inconsistencies’ people love to point out in her writing were due to translations errors, not false memory. No one claimed that Yeonmi Park was a liar until she spoke out against the mainstream opinion, but when she did that’s when everyone has something to say.

Oh man she’s your best mascot? That says capitalism is over more than anything else.

u/Wise-Potential-170 1d ago
Not really. Considering what she had to experience to make it to freedom, I’d say she’s one of the bravest contemporary figures.

She thinks she knows about America.
