Why Capitalism is Doomed (According to Joseph Schumpeter )

I read Joseph A. Schumpeter's book Capitalism, Socialism and Democracy, where he spells out his doommer scenario for capitalism. I think he's one of the greatest thinkers ever, and loved reading this book. It was fascinating to unpack his arguments, to see what he gets right, what he gets wrong, and ultimately why capitalism was not as doomed as he thought.

Good read. Capitalism is unpopular because people aspire to improve their lives through government, which capitalism forbids. It remains because it makes everyone's lives better, begrudgingly

Political criticism cannot be met by rational argument.

That is often demonstrated by the Trolls on here.

Capitalism died in the 30's under Roosevelt. The government has been planning large parts of the economy (social security, medicare, large fiscal deficits, federal reserve) ever since. The world has been living in a blend of market economies and government control ever since.
