Anyone take winter classes? Cost
Has anyone taken a winter class, did financial aid cover the classes? If not how much did you pay out of pocket

I only had two loans given to me this semester and I submitted my financial aid for 2027-2027 three days ago. I looked at my summary and it shows $400 for financial aid. I clicked something else and it says it’s for a scholarship? I don’t have an email or message telling me I was chosen for a scholarship 🤔 when will I see this money deposited to my account?

I’m thinking of attending CSULA for masters in computer science next fall. It’s one of my top choices since I really want to go somewhere in California. I’m coming from Texas, but I used to live in the Bay Area. Anyway, from what I’ve heard CSULA is a commuter school but I’ve seen posts about people who say finding friends isn’t too hard if you put an effort. What is a good way to make friends here? Also, is it reasonable to try and find friends in the city, CSULA is in Los Angeles after all. So there’s probably other 23/24 year olds from other colleges or people that work full time who want to make friends. I’m just worried about finding my group here because of some of the stories I’ve heard on this sub and other online platforms.

I was one of the few whose MCS disappeared the same week school started (and still gone) so I had called. Whether you have it or don’t have it on your package doesn’t matter. They are currently being reviewed the last week of October, and may officially be rolling out in people’s bank accounts the first week of November!
If you still don’t see an estimate on the final week of October you may call and they can tell you why you didn’t qualify!
