Getting any legitimate P4 level prospect is a good thing for us right now

247 rankings have him as the 37th best QB in the class. That means he is a legit D1 prospect but isn’t likely to be great. Ultimately you never know, of course. You need to sign lots of guys like this as lottery tickets and hope one of them clicks.

He's a 6'4" 200 lbs senior. Three star recruit that was also pursued by Arizona State, Iowa, Cincinnati and Illinois. Yes, this is a very good pick up. Not to compare him, but Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan and Russell Wilson were all three star recruits. Three stars at QB is very good.

Every single one of our starting quaterbacks for the last 15 years (except Aiden O'Connell) has been atleast a 3 star recruit out of HS. This is kind of par for the course.

Our QBs haven't been the problem

Yes, but I am answering a question for someone that is trying to get a better understanding. I wasn't making a grand announcement just for you.

ND fan here. I come in peace. I’m old enough to have lived through your crushing victories over us.

Here’s the thing. ND is really good, don’t measure yourself by that game.

You have arguably the most improved QB in CFB and a competent offense. I firmly believe you’re on the upswing, not in need of a total rebuild like some pundits say. I’m still taking the over on your wins this year.
