The Karissa Collins stuff a few years ago was very odd. Buying a van and other stuff for a quiverfull family? What was up with that?

I worked in downtown Orlando when he played for the Magic (I'm old), and he would drive around in a tricked-out convertible with the best hydraulics I had ever seen. Every time he would be at a stoplight, someone would yell "SHAQ" and he would smile and point & flip the hydraulics until the light turned green. He always loved the fame and was gracious & crowd-pleasing.

Then I remember he was doing some "undercover online pedophile bait volunteering" with cops in Miami later?

Weird to know this much about Shaq, but he was everywhere back home when he was on the team. I never had a bad interaction, but didn't know the man beyond basic pleastries.

Thank you for coming to my SHAQTalk.

Nah Shaq has been problematic for way longer. He was an absolute demon in the locker room especially to rookies. Let’s not forget this mf is a Cop and he does take that shit seriously sometimes. Teammates called him lazy because he was reliant on his size and height and Kobe even was like paraphrasing “if this fat boy would go in the gym and practice more we would have won more”. Anything for a check.

Can we talk about what determines what posts gets seemingly approved to be posted up here? A lot of posts on here are from digital blackface political propaganda accounts on Twitter specifically used to remove accountability from other demographics to target black people.

I can provide links of proof to all of this, and would like to have a conversation with the mods about this. Its become a pattern and has made this sub into a very direct open space for racists to take advantage of black american culture of hyperaccountability.

Friends of mine tried to post black tweets about Sudan and the one side vagrant racism against and towards blacks from many in the "pro-palestine" community. Like they are weapoonizing our moral accountability to not hold themselves accountable. Yet they were all removed and dismissed. I dont understand the rationale on posts here and its only fueling antiblack racists.

Please respond. I can communicate through messages

Yes this has been a huge problem, but when looking at other similar subreddits and seeing the sheer amount of bs that's being pushed in our "spaces" the closer we get to the Midterms, I understand that the mods around here are doing what they can without going into full Country Club mode like the good ol' days (which, with how they are on this site, might get this place shut down).

I get your frustrations but it seems to me that they're managing better than most. Alas, there's only so much that can do and I doubt they'll get reprieve until next year. Give them some slack, I'm positive they get it.

Ask yourself why this account might be one month old posting here....

I'm a bit curious -- has the protocol for Country Club changed at all now that genAI is readily available for just about everyone? Has anyone tried to AI themselves as black to get in?

I’m sure mfs was getting in with just simple photoshop or taking others pics online anyways. So probably 10 fold with AI.

I applied and didn't even get a response. Definitely think there's some criteria change and people been using AI to bypass it.

Likewise applied but a got a response I need to contribute more so maybe its twofold now to weed out newer accounts?

I think this subreddit needs to truly go into country club mode for a week. There are way too many white supremacist sympathizers invading this space.

With the midterms coming up it's been weird. Lots of culture war stuff and rage bait

Is it safe to ask if thia sub is truly moderated by mostly non blacks?

You’ve already asked it. To answer your question the moderation team is predominantly black.

I wish we could filter out videos. Call me a snob, but I prefer OG BPT.

This sub is almost DOA. Conversations are not fresh and are heavily restricted despite the number of people subbed and active at a single instance..

Why are there so many non black people posting on this sub ? Particularly white people? Isn’t the whole point of black people twitter that it’s a community of black twitter users?
