Is Butt-head really smarter than Beavis?

At first I thought so but after thinking about it, I don’t really think so anymore.

You can easily get that feeling since he often comes up with an explanation for something, while Beavis just agrees or says ”yea”. But in the end he’s always way off with what he’s saying. Seems like he’s just more like the boss, leader and dominant.

Also he is way meaner than Beavis often abusing him physically or getting others to do something against Beavis, or blaming Beavis for something he did so Beavis is the one ending up in trouble. He seems to enjoy seeing Beavis getting hurt.

Beavis on the other hand seems more loving and caring than Butt-head, seems like he cares way more about Butt-head than the other way around. Also sometimes Beavis questions what Butt-head says but he just shuts Beavis down.

To sum it up:

Butt-head: Dominant, arrogant, selfish, lazy

Beavis: Naive, energetic, impulsive, attention seeking

At least that’s my impression with the newer episodes.

I live in Albuquerque and work in the legal industry. A case I recently came across has a party with the last name Beavis. Due to the coincidence of the name and this being Mike Judge's hometown, I googled it and learned Beavis was named after Mike's childhood neighbor, Bobby Beavis (not the person from the lawsuit).This could very well be common knowledge, but I had no idea it was a real name. It makes me laugh every time someone refers to the case, so I thought I'd share. Happy Friday!
