Starlink should have never been mounted on drones and used to kill people in the first place - that was the fault of Biden for pressuring SpaceX to weaponize the platform. Musk was originally very much against it being used for weapons guidance. Lowering the speed it can be used at is a good thing, the same way retail GPS units have a speed limiter to prevent weaponization.
Russia is an adversary engaged in a war of aggression against a friendly nation. We should provide the support we can. Why not let Ukraine guide drones with it? I don't understand the problem.
It's not smart to make an economic and geopolitical mess of the world just to lose a war we had no legal obligation to be involved with in the first place. It's bad for everyone in the world including the Ukrainians, aside from Zelensky.
Our only obligation under that document was to discuss it in the UN security council, which happened, and Russia vetoed any action (obviously). That was the end of what we were required to do - there was zero requirement for any materiel support - they are not in our defense alliance or that of any of our allies.
