My ex was Norwegian, I went there as an ignorant Brit and for some reason the whole "language barrier with dogs" thing broke me 

On the plus side, i know at least as much Norwegian as a dog does!

Would use "flink" if they did something earning praise, and gogutt just for the sake of praising or admiring.
