Science Photo taken after the rocket launch this morning. What causes this? It's beautiful.

That's a "space jellyfish" effect. Sunlight reflecting off the high-altitude rocket exhaust plume before the sun has risen on the ground

From where I was, the sunlight from the not yet risen sun (idk if there’s a term for that) was reflecting in the direction of my office. Looked like a dim spotlight shining from the sky.

It's called jellyfish effect or space jellyfish

Looks like a hungover dude with a lampshade on his head riding on the back of… a sperm?

It’s the alpha chemtrail!

Contrail.

A chemtrail is a conspiracy theory where people think the government is spraying chemicals to control the weather or sterilize us or whatevet. Contrails are a real thing when hot wet engine exhaust hits cold atmospheric dust and condenses into water droplets, becoming basically a cloud.

That’s the joke

I was hoping so, but I've known too many people who unironically believe in chemtrails, so I am always afraid of going along with the joke and inadvertently strengthening someone's delusion.

Sorry for the lack of haha.

Lower pressure up there and the exhaust just goes with the wind. Sun lights it up due to its height while the earths surface is dark.

Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus.

Evidence?

That's pretty bold of you, to ask u/DefendYourClaim to provide evidence for their claim. How dare you!

Google rocket launches. Your answers will be there

-2

u/WolverineAny3219 20h ago

It’s from all the pollution coming out the back of the rocket.

Beautiful? Wtf are you on? That's more money than you know what to do with being spread across the sky to be used against you.

Where do you get off with all this nonsense?
