Argentine black and white tegu, they're a large omnivorous whiptail species which are among the most active and intelligent of all lizards. They're quite charming in person.

That’s because reptiles lack MFEs that would give them facial expressions. It’s part of why their intelligence was underestimated for a long time but recent research has shown that some of them are quite intelligent and tegus are some of the smartest.
