This is what happens when you let women in STEM 😔

Just wait til someone puts a llm in a fuck machine , looking at you lovense brand.
P.s. my company mapped the female orgasm from the neuron trigger and are rolling that into a toy that automaticallly just lol. Ceo is female. Women in stem are great. I get to actively talk about penetration and it be welcome.
Shit is wild

u/WorkingInAColdMind 22d ago
That automatically just laughs out loud? Is this a toy for a woman or a man, cause I already get enough laughs during sex
8
u/3pointonefourfloppy 22d ago
Sorry, the toy automatically adjust usage and activity based on the user. Like a very intelligent lovense or wevibe that also has biometric tracking and built for womens health. Im just a dev on the team. Im the only male -.-

Biomimicry is cool, I say let the women in on it!
Was waiting for a tendon similar movement system that didn't (entirely) rely on servo motors
I recall at some point there was an example for a hydraulic based system too

I visited this company’s offices recently and seen their demos. They’ve got glitchy products and a loooong way to go.

u/Grow_away_420 22d ago
The concept is already applied in a lot of robotic laparoscopic instruments and works very well. They just don't last very long and probably have about 5% of the tendons this hand uses.

Honda makes something similar.

u/Infamous_Delivery476 22d ago
Yea there’s quite a few companies making these robotic hands but Linkerbot is considered a market leader and doing a huge IPO in HK. Their company sucks but they are the biggest. Same way unitree is the largest robot maker but there are definitely better players out there.

Mr. Hitachi, we have a bad news.

u/volvagia721 22d ago
Pftt, they already done robotics, I'm sure they are watching intently to come up with a better product 3 months after this one releases.

There is nothing "for women" here, this thing is clearly throwing some gang signs
2
u/ShitFuck2000 22d ago
It’s clearly for screwing
Women? Men? Doesn’t matter, as long as they can be screwed
3
u/WindingPartnerships 22d ago
It’s not the speed that gets me, it’s how natural the tiny reset between movements looks. That’s usually the moment robot hands give themselves away.

Wait for real world applications, lol, where rust and manufacturing are the problems

If they are able to attach this to prosthetics it would become the standard

Ok. Two things.
- That scene from Aliens with the knife / hand with Bishop.
- Yeah. That.

u/Xiao1insty1e 22d ago
Yeah this definitely won't ever be used to choke/injure/kill people more effectively and easily.
Y'all making sex jokes but this is how most of us get put out of work and then who kills us in the street when we protest.

This is going to replace all plumbers and blue collar workers who think are safe. These embodied bots will be able to move joints in ways we can’t to do things more efficiently.

When I see this kind of thing all I can think about is when (or if it is already) will this kind of technology be used to make prosthesis that function almost as well as the real body part. This along with some form of neural interface.

u/SkettiNoodur 22d ago
Rapidly advancing field.
In 2023, a neuroscientist was able to "feel" a robotic hand grip a steering wheel and mimic driving with a brain-computer interface (https://www.uchicagomedicine.org/forefront/biological-sciences-articles/bionic-hand-sensation)
In 2026, a prosthetic hand you can "feel" and operate based on touch and several programmed positions based on various tasks you might be using with only a slight delay. A few different companies do this to varying degrees of how well they replicate a real limb. The top of the line are close to being nearly the same as having a new hand/arm/leg, on the lower end this one is so affordable they are available on medicare; granted; in a very limited basis due to how complicated the manufacturing is (https://www.psyonic.io/ability-hand)
Very likely that within 5-10 years getting a fully functional prosthetic for arms and legs will be affordable enough and functional enough to fully restore function.

Now show us how quick it can screw down a nut thats been sitting underneath a car for 2 years

I just love how the robots do exactly what an experienced tradesman would, flicking it is the way

Even recently I thought that there are no perfect robots. Yes, one can make robot that is perfect in task x but fails at task y. Amazed? More like aghast. Seeing this now - we as a race are screwed.

Now let’s put an AI in that pup and make sure it’s scared to death of being powered down! We should have it with eight arms and like, built in MK19’s. I don’t know why exactly, but it feels right.
And voila! We have a murder-android from the classic science fiction story, “For the love of god, don’t ever build a murder-android!”
What a fascinating modern age we live in!

Now we're talking, strap that to a handle and sell that on Amazon for 99 bucks. The future is here.

How fast can it do the Naruto hand signs though? I'm not impressed until I see robot Naruto hand signs..

All fun and games until it malfunctions and pops your wang like a water balloon.

I am yet to be amazed by robots. Like, cool that this separated hand can do crazy shit in controlled environment with (probably) many takes. This also can be done with automatic screwdrivers

That sounds like an opportunity for you to get a lot of inside information (no pun intended) about what works for women.

Impressive dexterity compared to human shaped hand, but this functionality is completely out preformed by a normal drill

I look forward to having my eyeballs picked out expertly by this hand attached to an AI-driven robot in the AI War of 2032.
