The use of nitrogen-fixing bacteria has been well-known for a while and the industry is adapted around it. The conspiratorial thinking in this comment section is silly.

its just reddit. They read one headline about some "major breakthrough", don't follow up in any way (even reading the article it's headlining), and then assume that it is some conspiracy when they don't hear anymore about it

And if it is something they can't be conspiratorial about, Reddit instantly pivots and shits all over it so that Reddit can feel better about it.

Someone else always has to be wrong or bad and the idiot on the Internet always has to be correct.
