I used to have to walk from the west loop to the south loop to class [basically taking Jackson towards the lake the entire way] and the constant Feb wind can lick the devils taint. Good lord that cold wind was killer and it swirling around the skyscrapers and blasting your soul every half block or so. I would sometimes have to duck into little alleyways or entrances to random skyscrapers to survive.

Every other thing about the city was fantastic. But I still have PTSD every time a cold wind hits my face....it takes me back. Wind + freezing drizzle+ wind tunnels from tall buildings = total misery.

I will say though it made Spring such a joyous time. That first 60deg day was like ecstasy.
