She's guarding you during your vulnerable time. Cats do this for other cats, too. Thank her for her efforts.

My one girl does this too. No matter day or night she’s there.
She wants to protect me while I pee. Afterwards she wants me to watch over her while she eats. I usually will stand by her and let her eat to her heart’s content. It’s only fair. She is, after all, just as much my guardian as I am hers. She is also a very good girl.

This is my boy Peaches too. I had to move his dry food bowl from our enclosed galley kitchen because I noticed he'd always leave trail of kibble from the kitchen to dining room. He will take a huge mouthful and drop it on the carpet when we were within sight of each other. Now his bowl is directly under the dining room table where he feels safe and see us throughout the rest of the house. Still eats like Cookie Monster flinging crumbs everywhere, but you can tell he's happy.

Oh god, that's my cat too. Comes stumbling after me, eyes half closed, and just sits there struggling to stay awake. I always tell him it's ok, I'll be right back, but he's gotta follow

But she does you're wildly unsafe in the bathroom! Anything could happen while you're vulnerablely peeing...

Our mom keeps a thing of treats on top of her medicine cabinet. Often, we get treats after she washes her hands.

She knows she doesn't have to, she does it because she loves you. You can see it on her face. All you can do is love her back.

She’s escorting you to “protect you” from the evils in the world…it’s her duty.

My brother’s cat lives in the bathroom if she’s not with him. Idk what she likes about it so much. Although she does quack like a duck and ask to be watered so maybe that has something to do with it.
I’ve gotten used to my toilet/shower supervisor.

Thank you for submitting a photo of your cat(s) to r/BathroomBuddy !
We have a photo contest running through the end of December. Winner of the best photo submitted will receive a Reddit award!
Let your kitty be the star — crisp, close-up photos that show off their face and personality have the best shot at awards.
Bathroom angles can be tricky, but photos that clearly show your cat’s expression will help your entry shine.
If your post in r/BathroomBuddy becomes popular, we hope you will consider crossposting it to other communities to give our small community more exposure!
If this post breaks any of the rules, report it and the mods of this sub will look into the post.
