Gay friendly church?
27F in a long-term F/F relationship. Are there any churches in Bath that are gay friendly? I'm not saying they have to make a song and dance about it, but just any church where I wouldn't have to lie about my partner's gender and wouldn't be encouraged to 'change'.

Christchurch on Julian Road is very liberal and accepting in my experience.

Seconding Christchurch on Julian Road! It, alongside with Oasis and St. Stephen’s, are the three most accepting churches in Bath. They take turns doing a Christmas service dedicated to the LGBTQ+ every Christmas.

Quakers or iirc St Michael's on Landsdown. Queer Bath has a list of queer friendly churches.

I think you mean St Stephen's in Lansdown? With the lit up tower? It's an inclusive church but the congregation is quite old!

I am an atheist and not straight. I attend Bath Abbey itself regularly for various reasons and I’ve always been really impressed by how liberal and welcoming both the people are and the sermons themselves, though there is a brand new rector so it remains to be seen what they are like.
There are probably smaller churches that are more specifically LGBTQ friendly but, yeah, if you fancied giving the big place a try it’s not the stuffy traditional place I expected.
(I have also seen queer couples in the congregation, including locals.)

I’m Reader and Director of Music at Christ Church, Julian Rd. Completely accepting and welcoming without “making a song and dance about it” would just about sum us up I think.
Depends what kind of worship style you’re after, but if you like relaxed formal with plenty of choral music then I think we would suit!
See our insta for some promotional stuff we did during Bath Pride.

Oasis is amazing, I've just started to go as a trans woman and they're so supportive.
A variety of different worship types each week (eg talks/interviews, sermons, occasionally there's a band)
