iPhone I wanna upgrade my iPhone 8 Plus, but would the Duo still be worth it over a 15 pro max despite the $2k price tag?
My use case is binge watching social media on my phone, web scrolling, and want to be able to play games like Genshin Impact without any lag issues or extreme overheating while having decent battery life. The multi-tasking feature on the Duo could be useful and having pen support for making sketches.

Consider the 17 Pro. In my opinion there’s not much use of the second display of the Duo. And if you really want a bigger screen to work on or some then get an iPad Mini, iPad or iPad Air.

its the only iphone with pencil support. how you will charge it or keep it topped up is an unanswered question.
but for far less of that price you could get an ipad mini and pencil that can do that and tether to your smartphone...
and while the ipad mini isn't exactly pocket friendly in size, neither is the duo. it'll fit, but not what I'd consider comfortably.

No. Just buy regular 17 or 17 pro or really any pro iphone that’s newer than 14 pro

i played genshin impact and honkai star rail on 15 pro and that thing would become too hot to touch after a few minutes. it’s a lot better on 18 pro and i can actually hold the hand without burning my hands
the iphone duo has the same cooling system as 18 pro so i expect it would handle your use case very well
