Mac MacBook Neo?

I have been trying to upgrade my entire Apple ecosystem recently. I had the AirPods 1 (2016) IPhone 13, and an IPad 9th generation for movies and occasionally YouTube. I traded in both the 13 and IPad 9 in favor of the AirPods Pro 3 and soon to come iPhone 18 Pro Max (typing this from a spare iPhone SE second generation). I did like having a secondary device though for YouTube, movies, and simple browsing but I don’t really want to buy an ipad. The MacBook Airs seem excessive for my needs since Im just using it as a secondary device and a glorified iPad.
Is the Neo worth it for this? A glorified iPad and a secondary/complementary device to the phone?

I love the Neo for exactly this purpose. Especially with the recent price hike to the a16 iPad, and the lack of recent updates (that chip is 4 years old!), I’d say Neo takes the cake here!

Yes. I’d much rather get a device with 4 extra years of updates than my other option- the M2 air. The air seems too excessive and expensive for what I need a computer to do

An m5? Definitely not. The m2 yes, but I would prefer not to buy used
