iPhone Getting gifted a new iphone - which one for content creation?
Hello! Currently have an iphone 13, which I’ve had for about a year but the battery on it is very poor. Not an issue considering I can just carry a portable charger but still a hassle (i carry those bulky power banks lol).
That said, I’m getting a new phone as a gift and so my friend has asked me which phone I want.
Really don’t like massive phones, so the maxes are out of the question. That leaves the base models or pro models.
I’m leaning more towards 17 pro or 18 pro due to better battery, less overheating because of the vapour chamber and given they’re more recent, the phone should last me a good 3-5 years.
Thinking of getting into content creation so will probs be doing some editing on the phone. Not really one to take pics but once I start content creation, I’ll be taking vids and pics more.
I’ve taken a look at the difference in picture quality between the 17 pro and 18 pro based on product reviews and tbh they seem very very similar (18 pro maybe makes photos a bit brighter/vibrant).
Then again, I really want a third person’s opinion - maybe there’s something I’m missing or not considering.
So based on what I’m trying to do above, which phone would you recommend?

Wish I had friends like yours
You can't go wrong w either. Although 18P has better vapor cooling on paper, throttle tests show v little improvement over the 17P. If you aren't concerned w the new colors then a 17P should suffice and will easily last you 3+ years. Your friend can save a few thousand or put it towards getting you a higher storage device, which would be helpful for content creation.

Very helpful, thank you! I really couldn’t tell much difference between the 17P and 18P photos apart from the 18P being a tad bit more brighter or vibrant. I don’t think people would be able to tell tbh unless they had a knack for photography or really focused in on the detail. I’m leaning more towards the 17P now and I reckon thats what I’ll go for

17 pro is better suited. 18 pro is overrated and the upgrade is nowhere to be found.

Imagine having to pick from 2 phones and still asking for help… if you are going to do anything beyond doomscrolling buy an android

You need to work on your inference and comprehension skills a bit more before jumping to conclusions

Depends how much cheaper the 17 pro is. If 200 cheaper go 17 pro I think. Any less, just go 18 pro.
