Hate it, I’ve always loved the red colour so much it makes me so sad that they’re taking away all the colour

I don’t like it. It would be better if it was more creative and expressive. Like how the new Apple TV icon has a color splash to it. Wish Apple Music icon was more creative and bold. Right now the icon has no personality. Didn’t expect this from Apple.

Yeah, it’s really really lifeless… so many icons now on iOS just have a simple white background with a one coloured object/icon

I haven’t noticed other icons being like that. Can you give examples? Maybe because I’m on 27.01 version that’s why?

Yeah, it’s on Version 27.2. Still in beta though so there’s prob is a chance this could be reverted before public release

I wish they change the design. I don’t want the blue music app with black and white logo. I want something very expressive and bold. Or at this point just keep the normal default red version if Apple won’t make it more colourful.

Tbh the icon isnt that bothering (tho it is), more the ui inside that contains no red features bothers me.

How did you get the update with the new icon? I hate it lol. I thought they were updating it with the word music in a different font?

The design seemed pretty beta or third-party-esque…. I wouldn’t be surprised if AM reverted back to the usual red icon.

If they gonna change the whole thing (logo included wich I love) they need to find an “icon”. Using the ios 6 music icon for the streaming service always felt generic to me.

i hate people like you. do you have no yearn for whimsy and joy in your life or does everything have to be functional for it to be good enough. would you be okay if they removed the ability to change your background? no love for the aesthetic or the vibe? Its branding sure but its also an identity that the product takes on and there is a certain amount of artistic value that goes into creating an identity based on color such as itunes and apple music. The red i always saw as a remnant of the whimsy of the ipod

itunes wasn't about branding or actors or whatever it was about emotions and colors are very good at evoking emotions. the red/pink of AM was perfect

It’s less noticeable if you daily drive tinted icons. The thing I noticed more is how it’s now blue when selecting things in the app for iPhone. On my Mac is just whatever colour I have set on my device - in my case green.
