Remote control through phone.
AirPlay Receiver built in.
Added DSP capability’s (DRC)
Edit: the GitHub is now public: https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleMusic/s/UPUXVx7on0

Why does the art keep resizing? personally to me that introduces visual distraction. But it's your app, just offering an opinion.

Only when moving the mouse. This screen is actually not for controlling the app it’s basically the now playing artwork screen and you control the music with the remote on your phone for example.

Personally not a fan of elements shifting sizes or buttons disappearing, or having to use a separate device to control it- if the screen isn't for controlling the app, why have play and pause buttons at all?
Again, your app, you put in the work, i'm just an old man yelling at clouds. It doesn't sound like this is the replacement for me. Honestly I think if someone remade the Apple Music before MacOS 26 i'd be happy.

I’ll add a setting to always show the transport buttons. I just like big artwork and currently it runs on my old iMac fullscreen so it’s just showing the currently playing track in the background. When it’s on the Mac you’re currently sitting in front of I totally agree that would be irritating.

If it finds its audience I see no reason why not. Technically it’s possible on every OS.

I hope it does get the audience then. Windows app is astonishing, no point for it. I guess you do have to see if it does gain good responses

This is so cool, any way to beta test or try it out?

u/amanwithmanyprojects 19h ago
Yeah once I figured out what I am allowed to publish it. In the current state it will probably get a dmca takedown.

Oh totally understandable, do you have a timeline for when you expect it to hopefully be published?

For now Mac only but if it finds its audience and people are interesting gladly make a windows version. Technically that’s totally possible
