Likes and App Store reviews are a source of strength for solo developers.

Hi everyone, I'm the solo developer of Not My Tempo, a voice controlled metronome for iPhone.

This app came out of my own practice room. Every time I wanted to bump the tempo up a few BPM, I had to stop playing violin, take my hands off the instrument, unlock the phone, find the slider, nudge it, and count myself back in. Then do it again five minutes later. Each time it was only a few seconds, but over a session it added up to a lot of time spent poking at a screen instead of playing, and it kept breaking my focus right when I was getting into it.

So I built the metronome I wanted: you just say "faster" or "tempo 120" and keep playing. It started as a fix for my own annoyance, and I'm sharing it in the hope that someone else gets some practice time back too.

New in this update, all free:

Start and stop with your instrument. Record a short phrase, like E then C, and playing it starts or stops the click. Each note has to ring for a moment, so quick notes in your playing don't set it off.

A louder click that cuts through when you play with a band or practice in a loud room.

Smooth tempo changes while it's playing, with a light tick under your finger as you drag the tempo slider.

I have offer codes ready, so the Pro Lifetime unlock (normally 9.99 USD, one time purchase, no subscription) is free for anyone who wants it.

Redeem here (opens the App Store directly):

https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6781537149&code=OCTO

If the link doesn't open, go to App Store, tap your profile picture, Redeem Gift Card or Code, and enter OCTO.

App Store page: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6781537149

What the app does:

The app listens with its own mic, so you don't need to turn on iOS Voice Control or any accessibility setting. Commands are English words.

Free features (voice control included):

Say start and stop to play and pause

Say faster and slower for 5 BPM, up and down for 1 BPM

Say a number like tempo 120 to jump straight to it

Say double or half, quarter, eighth, triplet or sixteenth

Say louder, quieter or mute

Say help to see every command on screen

1 to 8 beats per measure with an accented downbeat

Three beat views: bouncing ball, orbit and ring

Tap tempo, and a timing check that shows how close your taps land to the beat

The screen stays on while you play, and it remembers your last tempo

What Pro adds (free with the code):

Practice mode that raises the tempo every few bars up to your target speed

Accent editor to set every click in the measure loud, soft or silent, saved as presets per song

Chromatic tuner

If you rely on iOS Voice Control, you can switch off the app's mic and drive every button by name, and everything has VoiceOver labels.

No account and no ads. Speech recognition runs on device on iPhones that support it.

I'd really appreciate any feedback or bug reports, especially from drummers and anyone practicing in a loud room. If you find it useful, an App Store review helps a lot. I'll be in the comments to answer questions.

Hey everyone! Solo dev here. I got tired of football apps turning into betting casinos: odds everywhere, autoplay video, and push alerts that spoil the goal before I've even opened the app. So I built Footicks.

Pro free (normally $19.99/year), 500 redemptions.

What it does:

- Every team in one feed: your club, your national team and whole competitions, shown as match tickets on a stadium board.

- No Spoilers (free!). Hide scores for one match, one team or everything, across the app AND the widgets. Notifications go silent.

- Club widgets with your crest, also free.

- Live Globe: every match being played right now, anywhere on earth.

- Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Champions League and many more. 35 languages.

- No ads, no betting, no account needed.

Pro adds head to head history, match stats, the full season calendar with iPhone Calendar sync, and up to 20 teams (free is 3).

How to redeem:

1. Open this link on your iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6787270753&code=FOOTICKSOFFER2637 (the App Store installs Footicks and applies the offer).
2. Or enter FOOTICKSOFFER2637: App Store > profile picture > Redeem Gift Card or Code.

Tell me which league you want better coverage for. And if you enjoy it, an App Store review means a lot!

Hi everyone

I created TimerTodd because most timer apps are either full of hyper-stimulating animations or display fast-ticking seconds that cause anxiety for young toddlers who don't yet understand abstract seconds.

Key features: • Toddler-friendly visual pacing: Shows whole minutes only—no confusing second counters. • Calm, intentional palette: Soft tones (Fox Orange, Warm Amber, Sage Green) designed to avoid sensory overload. • 100% Private & Clean: No ads, no in-app purchases, no tracking, and works completely offline.

It's currently on a 100% free sale on Google Play. I'd love to hear any feedback or suggestions from parents and educators!

Free until 12 Oct @ 17:00 UTC

I posted this app earlier before, but that was for iOS, and the android version has just been launched.

It is a counting sheep game that I've created for people who want to improve their cognition while having some fun playing. In the game, you will count sheep entering the pen, coming down from trucks, switching between cottages and see if they follow the signpost.

The free download lasts two weeks from now. So free forever if downloaded before that date. No ads, no subscriptions.

I hope you enjoy it.

I built an app because I kept forgetting things the moment I got back to my Mac

This started with a really simple problem.

I’d be away from my Mac, remember something I needed to do when I got back, and think “I’ll definitely remember that.”

Then I’d open my Mac, see emails, browser tabs, messages… and completely forget.

Normal reminders never really solved it for me because I didn’t want to be reminded at 4:00 PM. I wanted to be reminded when I was actually back at my Mac.

So I built WakeMinder.

You can send a reminder from your iPhone or Apple Watch to your Mac, and it shows up when your Mac wakes up.

It doesn’t have to be just text either. You can send links, screenshots, images, PDFs and files. Links can even open automatically when the Mac wakes.

There are also floating reminders that can stay on top of your windows until you’re done with them.

And with the latest update, it now works the other way around too.

You can send something from your Mac to your iPhone and have it show up when you pick up your phone.

So the idea has become less about “reminders” and more like:

“Show me this when I’m actually on the device where I need it.”

I’m the developer, so obviously I’m biased, but I built it mainly because I genuinely wanted this for myself.

For anyone wondering about pricing, I’ve tried to keep it pretty inexpensive:

• $1.99/month
• $9.99/year
• $12.99 lifetime, currently 35% off

App Store pricing can vary slightly depending on your country.

WakeMinder is available on the App Store for Mac, iPhone, and Apple Watch.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6744974871?pt=127772248&ct=redca&mt=8

I’m still improving WakeMinder and would actually like to hear how other people handle this.

Do you ever have things you only want to remember when you get back to a specific device?

Hi all, I'm the developer of Markepi, so full disclosure: this is my app.

Lifetime Pro is $1.99 instead of $4.99 until October 31. It's the first time it has been on sale.

What it does:

• Watermarks for photos and videos: your name in a choice of fonts, your logo (transparent PNG), or a hand-drawn signature
• 12 photo frame styles that read your real camera data (camera, lens, aperture, shutter, ISO)
• Custom borders: size, caption and keyline, per style or for all
• Content Credentials (C2PA) on photos: creator and copyright sealed into the file
• Shares straight to any app without saving a copy to your camera roll
• Keeps your photo's metadata, HDR and quality
• Everything happens on your phone, nothing is uploaded

The app is free to download. Without Pro, exports carry a small Markepi mark. Pro removes the mark and keeps full quality. Lifetime is a one-time purchase; there are also monthly ($0.99) and yearly ($2.99) plans.

Apple soon.

I built Looks mostly because I got tired of packing the same things over and over again and never remembering what I usually take.

It started pretty much as a lazy way to save what I pack, and then slowly turned into a place where I keep my clothes, put outfits together, and plan what to wear for trips.

That’s basically still the point of it. Keep everything visual, keep it easy, don’t turn getting dressed into a whole project.
