Seattle Area Animal Collective Fans

I’m feeling simultaneously uninspired by the dating apps and inspired by Panda Bear’s recent statement about prioritizing real life interactions, IRL not URL. I am thinking of trying to host an Animal Collective listening session/fan networking event in Seattle. Apparently you can reserve the turntable room at Life on Mars. Would anyone be interested in coming to something like this to facilitate new connections for friendship or potentially dating?

I was out of town for the listening session that was hosted in Seattle when Isn’t It Now? was released. I remember jokingly thinking “damn that’s where I would have met my boyfriend” but after a few months on the apps I am now seriously considering organizing something like this if people would show up.

I do, though I prefer to do live visuals. I can actually rig it up so that I have a live camera feed that incorporates the band in the video if I have good camera lines.

Anco is such a good parameter to break the ice and decide if someone would be a good friend or partner. I swear there is just no other band or person that is special like that! :) wish I lived in Seattle, but I wish you luck on this!

Stoked that there is interest in this, will probably try to make it happen sometime in November. Anyone have ideas on how to reach more Seattle AC fans?

Maybe crosspost to other Seattle / PNW music-centric subreddits? You could also post on your Instagram stories and tag the band plus the guys’ individual accounts and ask that it be shared?
