Is it Croz like Crows?
or Croz like Crosby Stills & Nash (and later Young!)
I need to Knoz.

The <c> is pronounced like the /ts/ sound in "cats", the <r> is a guttural much like the French /r/, the <o> has pitch accent, specifically a rising tone, and the <z> would just be your standard English /z/ sound except it's devoiced in word-final position so it's pronounced like an /s/.
So it's like [t͡sʁǒs], or "tsghoss" in layman's/normie terms.

I have a friend who is very into linguistics and Animal Collective and I can't imagine you're one and the same but it'd be really funny.

Couldn't be me, I don't have friends. But there are dozens of us, dozens!
(But in all seriousness, I bet there's a lot of overlap between AnCo fans and various niche intellectual interests.)

When I saw them live I was visibly shaken when the opener said "We're so happy to be opening for The Crow's Boys"

I'm glad everyone in this thread has shared a different pronunciation. Very helpful.
Brian did say it at the show, but afterwards I forgot.

It's supposed to rhyme with Ounce, so it's pronounced Crounce Bounce
