So are you allowed to have a Pixel watch and a Fitbit device yet or do they still limit you to one or the other?

You can have multiple at the same time

I remember this didn't work back when I got my pixel watch 3. I was forced to unlink my Fitbit device to use it.

Damn - thin & lightweight, lots of sensors, 7 day battery life, works with iOS, can do basic notifications & potentially Google Maps
I wish this was announced before I got my smart ring

Any particular reason you chose a smart ring over the Fitbit Air? Besides the notifications and Google Maps integration, which I'm guessing smart rings can't do either, the Fitbit Air fits all those other criterias too.

My biggest issue with the fitbit air is the app data. It's just too basic. No real in depth data. With my oura ring I could zoom in on the graphs, see minute by minute, the data is just better presented and tracked. The ai coach is also shit. I wouldn't buy one again.

Won't that be true with this one? Same app, same presentation, same ai coach.
Edit. Sorry. Didn't realize you were a different user.

I have both. They differ a bit especially related to sleep tracking. The ring is more scrupulous with sleep and the Fitbit is more forgiving/less accurate. But the Fitbit is better for workout tracking .

I just went to a Garmin. Lighter than my Pixel Watch 2, better with literally every thing else. Every week or so I will take it off for exactly 3 showers to get it back to 100%. My wife dropped her Apple Watch to do the same thing. We picked up Forerunners. She's an athlete, I'm not but sleep tracking is important and it's nice to have something to track ski runs in the winter.

If this has SOS functionality, I may consider it. I hate having to use either Galaxy or Pixel watches for this feature alone.

I don't think it has any of these
Safety Check
Emergency Sharing
Medical information
Fall Detection
Emergency SOS
Emergency international calling
Earthquake Alerts

Really like this, but I'm happy with my screenless FitBit Air so that I can wear a standard watch on my left wrist
•
u/ElectricalRespect506 3h ago
I hate how all the watches trade in says "Get a credit with eligible watch or tracker trade-in." There are NO trackers available to select. Nothing Fitbit.

My pixel watch 2 doesn't even last 12 hours now. I'm kind of over wearables when they only last a couple years

My Galaxy watch Ultra trades in for a hundred bucks that makes it only 80 bucks but I like my watch Ultra not getting rid of it anytime soon I have thought about upgrading to the new watch Ultra but I think I'm going to wait until the next generation

That's an expensive mi band-looking knock-off
I hope they've improved the watch face options on this model, because the Fit Bit Charge I had, had the worst watch faces I've ever seen in my life.
Like an actual child had designed them with crayons, or something.

u/WillieButtlicker 9h ago
Glad I didn't buy the fitbit air yet. But this one a screen. I would really prefer to have a band and dispose my huawei watch fit 3. Will have to wait for reviews

Why is the Stephen Curry edition available in the EU now when it wasn´t and isn't for the Air?? Also, holy shit, the metal band is 129 euros!!

This sub is really insufferable sometimes. You could have just...not commented anything.

So is this just an air with a tiny little screen for another $80

Who the heck is Stephen Curry? Sounds like a fat lad from Tamworth.
Edit: sorry, don't speak yank. Basketball means nothing to the rest of the world.
Edit 2: again, nobody has explained why they are trying to sell me a tacky version of the watch from a sports star that has no relevance in the UK. This is typical US opinion that the world must evolve around them. Some say I'm ignorant for not knowing who a sports star is from a sport that does not get much coverage outside of the US, yet you voted for Trump, twice.
•
u/feed_me_haribo 7h ago
The part that makes you ignorant isn't lack of knowledge of Steph Curry, it's thinking the NBA isn't popular anywhere else. China, Australia, the Balkans, Spain, etc.
•
u/AdoringCHIN 8h ago edited 6h ago
Basketball is the second most popular sport in the world with an estimated 3.3 billion fans but no tell us more about how only Americans care about it. Funny how people are so proud of being ignorant these days.
Edit: I love how homeboy is doubling down on claiming the second most popular sport in the world behind football/soccer is barely watched outside the US.
•
u/Rebelgecko 9h ago
Where do you think basketball was invented and by whom?

I like how you're trying to make fun of basketball as a US thing while you're actually doing the same thing (basketball not being big in your country means it's not big in "the rest of the world").
•
u/jalikeyazz Google Pixel 10 7h ago
"Typical Americans thinking everything revolves around them"
"Why would I care about this in the UK"
It's like people think as long as you shit on the US you can say anything

They're willing to give me a whole $25 for my Galaxy Watch 7. Thanks Google, I'll think about it and let you know.
