Rant This is why I stopped building
Someone took pictures of the inside of my glitch build and posted it to Pinterest. I’ve had this build for over a year and I never have it out because people can use a script to clone others houses, but I just wanted to enjoy my build with my friends and I forgot abt private servers. I’ve been locking my house but apparently NOT QUICK ENOUGH. Idk if it’s been cloned already or not but these kinda of people are why I stopped building!! WHY WOULD I BUILD WHEN MY ART IS JUST GONNA GET STOLEN AND POSTED AROUND?!?! I commented on the posts asking the person to please take them down but now I’m worried it’s been cloned and stuff yk??? I have limited furniture and the jack o lantern the bat dragon is on is the 2018 furniture one so idk if it can still be cloned or not but bro I’m PISSED. STOP TAKING PEOPLES WORK!

Also I know you say you lock your house but locking does not make scripters unable to enter!!! They can still go in and clone it even fi it's locked, Id suggest switching to a house that is low effort or whatever because it's shitty things like this happen :(( ik ive been working on a build and I get scared to even just post my hard work cuz I don't wanna get copied or cloned 😔

It sucks to even trade for houses now for this reason. How do I know I’m not getting 1 of 100 copies? Because some of the builds I see on here are amazing and would be awesome to own but it’s too risky imo.

I don't get why ppl do that... Do you even earn commissions through Pinterest? Like why steal someone else's work jus to post it and not get any compensation. I know regaurdless it would be terrible, but they're literally not gaining anything by doing that, so why do it. Just make your own to post atp. Like it's cool if u find some inspo from other builds (without completely taking the idea) and incorporate then into your build, but this? That's jus stupid.

Honestly, I wonder that a lot as well since basically Everytime I go into my house all the doors have been opened😀 idk if that's a thing they do while cloning or just a thing ppl do to irritate, but I only have 2 doors in my house so I don't think it's for that. Let's just hope no one has clones either of our houses😭

There’s no way to prevent it aside from being majority out of game furniture which they can’t clone or the cost of making it. the price being very high lessens the odds but there is no way to prevent it. Not locking your house etc. not using it is probably the only way. It’s just something that sadly happens

I saw this on adopt me discord server = house trade area ,it was listed as 4-8 val ny friend was gonna buy it ,i have to recheck again but ye it's sold so val ,so i think it's cloned alot?

I like to build my own houses and enjoy them, never trade them. Recently I heard about the cloning houses and I'm not too sure what it is and if you get banned for it if someone clones your house?

Only cloners can clone the entire house but without the out of game furniture that is in the house so for example the scripter enters and teleports to your house and clones the house but only the ones you can still buy in the furniture catalog can still be cloned but not the out of game ones so that means the cloner won't see any out of game furniture on the house they cloned.

The only 2 ways to prevent your house from being cloned (Not completely) if the house is 80% out of game furniture or if your house cost at least 1M. The more expensive it is, the lower risk of your house being cloned.

I always have my house unlocked since I like showing people my work, but this is making me a little worried.
(I'm a new builder so having an actual decent house that I made myself is rare for me)

Locking your house doesn’t prevent cloning.
They can still do it. It’s ridiculous. There’s scripts for that. You can’t even see them doing it.

i feel you, building 1 of 1 houses on adm was one of the main reasons i even played adm. It just doesnt feel the same no more, also considering the fact if u go to any trading forums theres tons of people trading mass cloned houses for 1-10 ride pots etc. Actual builders, originals dont last a chance. Its so upsetting

Yeah sadly cloned houses are insane it happens so so often and even if you trade it to someone finally they’re gonna have it out and it’ll be cloned
I have seen three today alone that are viral online or once were and are cloned for sure. It’s gotten wild.
I cant build like that.. wish i could but i cant. I tried for my daughter and failed miserably so now we have an ugly house but it’s staying bc i got way too mad trying to do it.
The fact you can build like that is amazing and you don’t deserve to have your hard work ripped off by some exploiter and passed around until it’s got nothing left that’s unique.
Really wish adopt me would make it where you can’t do that but I have no idea how they ever could do that. It’s a real issue though. I have seen people start getting swindled by a person with cloned houses and I told them in the chat not to do it because the pets they were going to give were crazy and they said they didn’t know cloned houses were a thing and ask why it was bad and if I was sure that was a real thing 😂
It’s heartbreaking to work so hard on something and put real work and talent into it and have some loser exploiter come rip it off.

Sometimes people just take pictures you posted of the house to post on pinterest for views. Have you posted this picture of your house yourself on any other SM before, or have you never shown this build before? If you havent, theres a chance its been cloned. Locking doesnt guarantee that your house wont be cloned. I personally just use a little lightly decorated grinding house in public servers, even with locked doors, and barely use any of my big builds now unless im in a private server for a very long time. Sorry that this happened to you! People suck, this is basically stealing and uncrediting artwork :/

I’m confused, please don’t slime me out for this, but if they aren’t harming people’s houses why is cloning such a deal? (I’m realizing this makes me sound like one of them now…) I get it’s annoying for all the hard work but i feel like if they can hack into the code of the game there are much worse things they could do

It’s just a slap in the face for me to make something I’m so proud of and then suddenly it’s worthless because now, without my knowledge or consent, it’s been cloned 500 times and it’s everywhere and not unique anymore.

Personally I think It's still unique, it's still art. you can't really stop everyone from doing wrong these days but it shouldn't let you stop building altogether if you really love it. If you feel like you want a break from it though then that's totally fine and I'll report anyone I see claiming artwork that isn't theres that I'm aware of, I hope adopt me finds a way to stop people from doing this 😞

Cloners clone houses to sell online or trade for valuable stuff (most ask 10-15+ for a house they didn't put any effort into). It is unable to be patched because the script extract codes from game used to load your house. To put it simply, the game has codes to spawn furniture in exact placement, color etc. Cloner scripts copy and paste these codes into a new house

Excuse me? It is absolutely art. I spend HOURS/WEEKS building piece by piece. I get commissions and I make custom statues and glitch builds that in some cases don’t even look like adm. as someone who’s literally going to college for a degree in art.. you’re just loud and wrong lmfao.

My art conveys meaning to whoever feels emotions towards what I’ve made in my house. Walking into my house is like a whole other dimension the way I build, and to say if you make something on a game it’s not art? That’s just not true. I can make art on any game that has a blank canvas and some build tools. People make sculptures irl- is that not art? People build houses in various styles irl- is that not considered art? Because that’s not what art history has taught me. Regardless of WHERE you build something it is always considered art. Maybe not to YOU and that’s fine, but to people who would literally pay money for a house like mine or for people who go out of their way to steal it.. sure seems like art to me. It provokes emotion and a sense of escape from reality, it takes hours and each block is like a brush stroke. It’s absolutely art.

It may not be the art on a canvas, if that’s what your thinking, but some people spend hours/weeks/MAYBE EVEN MONTHS getting the details right, specific color, redoing mistakes. I’d like to see YOU build a highly detailed glitch house then we can talk about what’s art and what’s not.👀✌️

detailed glitch houses i've made, highly detailed not really but I also don't see any highly detailed houses here. and yes, it usually takes skill, a long time and making mistakes, but just because it's difficult that doesn't make it art.

Art doesn’t necessarily have to convey some deep message though. A build can still be a form of art because of the creativity and design that goes into it. And this house might not even be as detailed as other builds I’ve seen, but I still think the time and creativity put into it makes it fair to call it art. Either way, I think we just have different definitions of what counts as art, so I’ll leave it at that lol.
