All my devices were unable to access the internet this morning. Everything was fine last night. After going down a few rabbit holes with Claude (I didn't find anything on Google) I discovered that disabling DNSSEC on the router fixed the problem. But I've had it enabled for years. Claude pointed me to this:

So it seems like the latest ASUS ZenWiFi AX firmware doesn't support KSK-2024, even though it's been released since Jan 2025.

i have rog strix g16 rtx 5060 and r9 8940hx. This laptop is so glitchy. like when i switch tabs and change modes of the laptop the screen gets freezed and laptop gets hanged.

but the main issue is that when i tried to run qwen 3.8 27B parameter model locally the taken speed was less than 1 where as my friends omen (rtx5050 and i7 255H) had a speed of 2.4. like wth is wrong with my gpu and cpu? is it unoptimized? and how to optimize rog?

during those tests my power consumption was 13W, cpu and gpu usage were 75 and 25 percent respectively.

like im so frustrated with the performance of my laptop..... is armory crate the issue?

but so far i didnot face major issue while gaming except cs2 where i was getting 120-200 fps on the same graphic settings which clearly shows that my smth is wrong with my gpu....

Here's the router with Dead Wi-Fi. Both the 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ have died. I think 🤔 Overclocking the bands years back might have caused it.

Can it possibly be recovered?

I was not able to find solution and spent more than 10 hours trying different attempts until I found this solution in Ubuntu forum. But to reiterate it, and for detailed solution, here you go.

Asus ExpertBook P5 uses the Intel Lunar Lake (5 268V / 7 258 V) with soldered LPDDD5x RAM (16/32).

The problem is that for some frivolous reason, Asus did not—or forgot—to include the Microsoft UEFI CA 2023 and CA 2011 in secure boot keys, which is why you cannot install / boot any system with secure boot on.

There are several solutions like updating the shim (tutorial, another tutorial), or importing the said certificate using mokutil —import (tutorial), but none of these worked for me.

Here is what worked:

1. Download the keys (in .crt format) here and verify its sha1 sum.

Keys “Microsoft UEFI CA 2023” and “Microsoft Corporation UEFI CA 2011”

1. Place it in root of exFAT formatted USB (use mkfs.exfat)

2. Boot into UEFI (F2) and go to advanced mode (F7)

3. Go to Security, the. secure boot, then key management

4. Find “Authorized Signatures (db)” then click “Append”

5. Click no, since yes means in the disk, and no means from other drive

6. Select the .crt files in the USB

7. Append it as “Public Certificate” (or Public something / the first option) and then accept everything that follows (just hit enter)

8. Do the same for other one

Hello, i have a question that i needed to ask a human for. The last few days i haven’t been able to see or have a cursor on my asus vivobook 14 flip.

The touchpad was not working, and i don’t have a mouse. So i checked device manager, and the precision touch pad was grayed out, so i uninstalled, restarted, it didn’t install itself. So i went to Asus’s website and downloaded the precision touch pad, installed it, then it prompted me to restart so i did.

The touch pad driver is still not in my device manager despite me going through the installation. I don’t know what to do, can anybody help pls? Thanks in advance!

A friend of mine has XG32UCG and when he changes the HDR setting from Cinema, Gaming to Console, they all have different looks. I bought the same monitor and when I change the HDR setting, there is no difference and its not vibrant at in games. I gone through 2 of these monitors and still the same. I tried it on a PC, Mac and Switch. Same. No change between HDR Settings. Is this normal or does the store have a bad batch?

I recently purchased the ASUS BE9400 router to replace an existing ISP router. I noticed the signal was a little weak in my far office upstairs. Instead of purchasing a non specific wifi extender, I read that I could use another Asus router to create a mesh network and extend the signal further. I've opted for the ASUS RT-AX52, however amazon has flagged the item as 'Frequently returned due to connectivity issues' (Ironically, this only appeared after I purchased it). I'm a little nervous as to whether it's even worth me trying it out or if I should just send it back when it gets delivered and purchase a different model?

The BE9400 is downstairs and in the same room for streaming tv shows and online gaming over WIFI. I just purchased the RT-AX52 to essentially strengthen the connection for home working / teams calls upstairs. I'm aware it's a much more basic model compared to the BE9400.

Any advice or guidance would really be appreciated as it's being delivered tomorrow, and I'm unsure what to do.

On my Asus Zenbook 14 (model UM3405GA, Ryzen AI 9), I am experiencing an audible, high-pitched coil whine. The issue occurs exclusively on battery power when charge drops to ~40% and below, and it triggers actively whenever an audio stream is playing or primed to play—even at 1% master volume. The noise is not standard idle amp hiss or speaker distortion.

The classic registry power-state fix (ConservationIdleTime / 0000) and idle audio workarounds like keep-audio-alive do not resolve this, as keeping the audio stream open simply makes the whine continuous instead of intermittent.

I've been dealing with an audio problem on my ASUS TUF Gaming FX504GE laptop, and I'm running out of ideas. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what's causing it.

The problem:
My audio randomly crackles, pops, or briefly stutters when I'm listening to music or playing games. It doesn't seem to happen when the laptop is idle.

I also noticed that my external audio interface started making a pulsing noise, even when no audio was playing. I'm not sure if that's related to the main issue or a separate problem.

My system:

• Laptop: ASUS TUF Gaming FX504GE
• OS: Windows 11 26H2
• OS build: 26300.9550
• BIOS: 323 (latest listed on the ASUS support page)
• Audio driver: Realtek Audio 6.0.1.8656 (2019)
• Audio endpoint driver: Microsoft, 10.0.26100.1 (2024)

MyASUS and the official ASUS support page list the 2019 Realtek driver as the latest available for my laptop.

What I've tried or checked so far:

• Tested with Wi-Fi disabled and VPN disconnected.
• Checked my Realtek driver and Windows audio endpoint driver.
• Checked the available BIOS version.
• Ran LatencyMon while investigating the audio interruptions.
• Checked power settings. My power plan is Balanced, and the laptop is plugged in.
• Investigated Windows updates because I suspect the issue may be related to Windows 11 26H2, although I can't confirm when it started.

LatencyMon reported that the system was having trouble handling real-time audio. The highest driver execution times I noticed were approximately:

• tcpip.sys: 4.03 ms
• HDAudBus.sys: 3.95 ms
• ACPI.sys: 0.74 ms

I understand that these results don't necessarily prove which driver is responsible.

I'm hesitant to keep uninstalling and reinstalling drivers because I haven't found a reliable fix so far, and I don't want to make things worse.

Does anyone have suggestions for what I should investigate next? Has anyone experienced similar audio popping or stuttering on Windows 11 26H2, particularly on an older ASUS laptop?

I'd especially appreciate advice on identifying the actual cause rather than just trying random fixes. If there's useful information missing, please let me know what I should provide.

I'm planning to buy an ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED and I'm trying to understand the differences between these two versions:

UM3406GA-OLED-QD098W — Part number: 90NB17R1-M00DT0

UM3406GA-OLED-QD008W — Part number: 90NB17R1-M00160

Both listings appear to have the same Ryzen AI 7 445 processor, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 14-inch OLED display and 75Wh battery.

However, the QD098W version is considerably more expensive, and its listing says that a charger is not included, while the QD008W listing mentions a 65W USB-C charger.

My questions are:

Are the two versions technically identical?

Do they differ in display specifications, battery, build quality or any other hardware?

Is the difference mainly related to the charger, accessories or regional product codes?

Which version would you buy, and why?

I'm looking for a laptop that I can comfortably use for 7–8 years or longer.

I'd really appreciate any information from someone who owns one of these versions or knows the exact differences.

Okay, Asus, I need answers desperately. I bought a prime Radeon 9070 XT. I had it for less than 30 days and I was having heating issues, and then driver issues where my driver would just suddenly disappear while I was in the middle of playing a game or while it was just sitting there, so I sent it to you. I paid for shipping. You put new thermal pads on it, new liquid metal on gpu, tested it, and did not find any issues and so now I reinstalled it. It’s been in for approximately five days and I’m having the same issue with the driver just completely disappearing and not recognizing the card and when I go to reinstall it it literally said there’s an issue with my graphics card. So where am I supposed to go with this now? I used DDU, did the whole safe boot, no network, uninstalled, reinstalled, twice.. literally had it up and running with the new drivers for five minutes and it happened again. Plus when i got it back your support team scratched the connections. I have before and after and none of that was there when i sent it. This is a new card. Under warranty. Please advice

I tried pressing some F keys to reboot but I have a blank boot priority box and when I go to advanced settings then boot there are no boot options available. Please help. I've heard of getting the reboot USB but if there is a quicker way I'd prefer that, if this is the only way however knowing where I could buy that USB would be really useful.
