Shit man, seeing Marina break like that... I can't even imagine Wednesday having a dynamite. I know the show must go on but for fuck sakes. Dude was in the main faction of the company, everyone only had good things to say about him. Only put banger after banger and spots that made everyone go wild...
I'm just at a loss rn

We had a show for Rebel, a show for Butcher, and now a show for Pac?
Growing old is the never-ending heartbreak of watching your heroes die.

Watching wrestling is exhilarating but also can be debilitating like this. It makes me remember as a kid watching wwe and having to see dusty rhodes and roddy pipers memorials in back to back months seered into my memory. Brutal world

Losing Eddie Guerrero made me stop watching wrestling for years as a kid. I couldn’t comprehend a professional wrestling star just being a human being who could pass away so fast.

Honestly i stoped watched wrestling for years after Eddie died then the Benoit tragedy. Pac consistently being one of the best things in wrestling when he was cruiserweight champ in the fed is one of the things that got me back into wrestling as an adult. Without Pac and a hand-full of other people, mostly all in AEW, showing me what the medium was capable of, then I doubt i would be watching wrestling today. To me he was as important to AEW as the elite, jericho or Mox.

Yeah, but look at that. They all weren't beaten by master time which is the expected in almost every culture, but by the fragility of being human in the end, dude was 5 years older than me, that shocks more than anything...
To imagine the pain of the roster that was in Andy's service and learn about PAC... I pray to the gods to take care of mox and everyone that was close to him because it must be so hard.

Three years younger than me. Really made me stop and reflect. I still remember his NXT run. Gods he was great.

Honestly, if anyone deserves a full on live tribute show it’s PAC, but after everything the AEW locker room has gone through, I wonder if the move might just air a bunch of PAC matches and let people say their thoughts instead of doing a live Dynamite. I think this poor company needs a break to regroup and reflect. I don’t think that’s what they’ll do, but if they do I’d totally understand it.

Id imagine Wednesday is going to be a tribute show on the scale of Mr Brodie Lee's, given Pacs prominence in the company and the love and respect he had backstage.

Dynamite is going to be a weird watch. It's one thing for Butcher who wasn't on TV at the time, it's another for a guy who passed away a couple of days after a PPV match while involved in major stories.
I don't know how you even start the show. Hopefully Mox has some inspired semi-kayfabe words for it.

Getting the backstage together is likely better for a healing process either way

I'll be at Dynamite on Wednesday and I expect it to be very melancholy. I know they'll do a great job of honoring Pac, but performing just days after his death is asking a lot of everyone. I hope the entire AEW family gets the help and support they need.

To see a woman as confident and strong as Marina in legitimate pain is somehow more impactful. She has been the Death Riders' rock for so long, so we know this is not just the death of a co-worker and colleague, but a death in the family.

"He was the light of us."
It's just so hard to believe we're even hearing all this. One day, he's wrestling and he's incredibly private. The next day, he's gone and we're learning from all his friends how beloved he was.

I know it's not a new thought but it's just crazy we all watched him yesterday and now he's gone. What a tremendous performer and by all accounts, a tremendous dude. Rest in peace, Pac.

I just don't have the grit to watch that.
I don't know if I can handle Wednesday.

jesus man. hearing her breaking is heart-wrenching. 💔 tell the people you love that you love them now and often, tomorrow is never promised.

Very bittersweet hearing how close they were, you'd kind of assume they were as the Death Riders give off the impression they're very close knit behind the scenes but you never really know in wrestling, plenty of teams down the years have had individuals who either didn't get on or just weren't really friends and PAC has always seemed very private. Heartwarming but heartbreaking hearing how she spoke about him.

The fact that Marina broke down solidified it for me. Fuck, I still don’t want to believe it.
