I have Velocidrone, I just never play it because i sort of find the UI confusing. I need to sit down one day and figure it all out.

It’s the only sim worth flying after you’ve learned to fly. Get in there and run some multiGP tracks. That’s what real world tracks are like. These huge tracks don’t offer much challenge compared to banging sticks through ladders and cubes

These huge tracks don’t offer much challenge

I totally agree on this one! I love Velocidrone because of the graphics and the editor, and it was my first sim. The newest map has 3 new tracks and one of the tracks is a small parkour. I instantly loved it.

These long tracks are just speed but not much of a test of your maneuverability-ability. (As a non English native, I hope that I got that right)

what do you need to figure out, just connect your Radio and load a map. 🤔

its a very minimalistic design. and all the shortcuts are listed in "help" menue.

Yeah I guess it's just that I find it a bit overwhelming personally. "Here's 400 maps, some good, some less good. Good luck!" Choice overload. Compared to "open liftoff, join multiplayer, find random lobby"

Open velocidrone, press multiplayer, join a game

I actually did, I got home from work and gave Velocidrone another shot. Unfortunately no multi lobbies, but it was nice

Usually weeksnds europe time evenings is when you can find more multiplayer lobbies

- look for maps with a lot of ratings

- search for MultiGP

- search for FMV

This will give you tons of great tracks

You crashed at 0:16 >:P more sim time as a penalty!

It looks like your sens is too high so you're not making as precise of movements as you should be, and making a lot of corrections.

You need to slow down and start turning earlier in those tunnels because you're exiting them at full speed heading forward, when you should be turning by the time you exit.

Just feedback, you're doing good for 100 hours

You need to turn your roll sens up a tiny bit and lower all your expos on yaw and roll

I think I'm using 533? Or whatever that common rate is. I don't really touch or adjust rates ever

1

u/Kentesis Sep 13 '26

Rates = sensitivity. I'm telling you, it will help you more than you think.

And each drones sensitivity can be different. If you go to the main menu, you can make a 2nd 533 load out, you can change the rates on the new one and it won't effect your other ones. I highly recommend messing with it sooner rather than later, you will develop bad habits

Can yyou fly slow and land , start again and land ?

What's your camera angle?

1

u/LargeBloodyKnife Sep 11 '26

It depends on the map, slower maps shallower angle.
I usually sit about 58-61
Most of these maps are probably 60

some ppl just built different , very impressive.

can you fly slow and controlled though

My biggest gripe is in Velocidrone the tiny Whoops I fly don't feel like or fly like my whoops do in real life. I haven't tweaked any of the settings. Am I doing something wrong?

Why did you speed up the footage?

3

u/PocketSizedRS Sep 11 '26

It looks sped up because he's at full throttle the whole time lol

u/LargeBloodyKnife Sep 11 '26

I'm also at 130° FOV, so things look to be zooming by

I didn't. The timer is at the top, it tracks realtime.

Did you though? Cause this looks to me like you basically never left the sim and learned some surreal BS you will have to relearn from scratch as soon as you pickup a real quad.

People really need to start understanding that if they want to learn to fly for real, shooting for these record time permapunch Racetimes gains you nothing.

Except of course if all you wanted is to do it be good at virtual racing, then all the power to you and impressiv feat.

1

u/LargeBloodyKnife Sep 13 '26

I don't wanna fly real lmao. No offense but that's why I play sim

1

u/Traditional-Baby5940 Sep 13 '26

Alright if you have no intention of flying a real Quad then thats perfectly fine. Carry on.
