Really felt so proud of how this turned out!! Photo by @ felixwongphotography

Over the last 2-3 years I’ve noticed storm is usually the mutant of choice for anything x-men related

Hellion is rich, handsome, cocky, intelligent, commanding, bold, gets what he wants, and fiercely protective of his friends. You can tell Emma saw so much of herself in him and constantly pushed him to be better so he wouldn’t end up like her.

None of the students really took off (Dust, Mercury, Surge, etc.), but Hellion’s fall always felt the biggest to me because he was pushed so hard for greatness.

I’ve seen people say he was upstaged by Quentin Quire, who is even cockier and has a super ugly (but super distinct) appearance that made him stand out more.

What are your guys’ thoughts on Hellion?

It lasted nearly 5 years. Would you say those were a good years?

Very epic battle.

Obviously not a comprehensive list in the images above, but some of my favorite stuff in X-Men are ongoing and evolving friendships between characters, and the ones that get that good, close bond are always great to read.

So, which close/best friendships are your favorite to read about?

To sum this up: Glob went back to the time he was violent

Mine would be Thermoshock, a pun on both the term thermal shock and the nature of my ability, which would be generating and controlling weirdly blue (like dark blue) ice that also generates weirdly blue electricity and can interact with electricity.

As for physical appearance, flesh is permanently discolored and small shards of the ice either grows out of or is just formed on my skin, with the ice potentially coating my bones too.

I was reading Grant Morrison's run but I stopped for a while to read the Magik comic, but this one seems much more interesting.

Was thinking about how basically any super power that exists in the Marvel universe has at least one mutant that possesses that power. Closest example I could think of is Speedball with his bouncing power, but I also feel like there are a few that get close. Bouncing Betty is a non-mutant showing up in X-books with a similar power, and Cannonball is a mutant who doesn’t bounce but does have pretty similar powers otherwise.

Really just curious to see if there is a super power that does already exists that has never been manifested by the x-gene. Curious to see any suggestions that you all may have!

As you can see I’ve made a few changes to the format as to not make too many posts at the behest of the mods so now it’s 5 characters per post. I actually debated whether I’d even continue doing this as quite a few comments have been rude and discouraging but I’ve decided to continue for now. Also the title includes opinions now because that’s mainly what most of the comments were.

First ones I wanna talk about are Sunfire and Thunderbird… these guys were complete wastes during their debut with sunfire leaving and thunderbird dying.

I like Colossus he’s a really good textbook example of a gentle giant type character.

Kitty is weird because she has so many hero names but none of them really fit her since they’re all kinda like the fantastic four names in that they’re either really bad or just don’t fit the power so they just call her by her real name.

And Lockheed should be so much cooler. The X-Men owning a dragon just saying that sounds awesome but nope he’s just kind of a mascot.
