If someone in this comments section says PS4 or Wii U I think I'm gonna spontaneously dissolve into dust and ashes.

Anyway it was a Game Boy Color and PS1 for me.

Gameboy colour wasn't my first or second Gameboy, I paid for my own PS1 from my first cash-in-hand job, from a company that hasn't existed now for nearly 20 years.

Sega for me, so I guess I'm the dust particles of dust.

Personally I had a PS1 as my first, but the neighbors had an NES that I played before that, so idk what I would put haha. Funnily enough, we jumped from PlayStation to the original Xbox instead of going PS2.

Not everyone had rich parents who could buy us gaming systems when we were kids lol.

Anyways my first gaming thing was an Xbox one

You didn't need rich parents lol, lots of middle class and even lower middle class kids had a gaming console.

Anyways, I grew up lower middle class and my first gaming console was a ps1, guess I'm old too.

I didn’t have rich parents. I had an aunt that still lived with my grandma. She liked video games and worked full time so she bought herself a Sega Genesis

You saying all that and I was 13 when I got the PS1. Granted it was out for more than a year, but still. Guess I'm just dust in the wind.

my first "gaming hardware" was an Apple iPad with one of those wide charging ports.

a decade and then some later, my first two actual gaming dedicated consoles are the PSP (dad's) and PS4 (my own)
