I’ve been on SoundCloud for a min I don’t get likes but I do get plays not and not botted

So I just wanna say I’ve been using SoundCloud to post music for almost a year, tracked all my views and likes, when I get them and when stuff kinda slows down. Today I used the amplify option since that’s what I always do after uploading my beats. I uploaded my beat at exactly 7am this morning, got the email saying my song has been processed for the amplify option at 8am and everytime I do this I always get 70 views around this time, I took a break from uploading for about 4 months because of burnout, and I’ve notice that all my progress has died off completely as I would get around 700+ views on each one of mt beats. Now on the subject of today’s upload i have only got 17 views since 2pm, before 2pm I haven’t gotten a single view at all which is super bizarre because everything i have tracked so far says I should be getting at least at the bare minimum 40 views rn and should be going up every half an hour or so. But today is the first time I’ve ever dealt with a beat being this slow in terms of views. Again I love writing down my statistics of each song so I know what everything looks like on day one and now I haven’t even reached my minimum at all yet. Anyone else dealing with this?

I went to go to listen to some tracks on my account but I couldn't see any of my playback playlists from 2021 - 2025. Gone without a trace. Has anyone else had this issue and if so did you get your playlists back?

For context I'm on desktop using Microsoft Edge.

EDIT: Soundcloud got back to me and they said there was some sort of outage and now its fixed. Playback playlists should be appearing as normal.

Has anyone experienced an increase in people passing for fans and asking weird questions about songs? Suddenly I got 8, some mentioning a specific (and unremarkable) point in a song timeline, asking if I’m interested in talking about it. All of them followed me after those comments and will probably unfollow when I don’t reply. One more annoying trend?

I started using(Amplify) it 5 months ago and it worked, I was getting loads of listens and new followers, it really feels like they've suppressed it from working.. Most of my listens are now coming from Vietnam where they don't speak english, I read its just bot farms there and Soundcloud does this cause its cheaper, i've now blocked Vietnam pressed Amplify and now i'm stuck on 35 plays that probably from people i know... Its just becoming harder and harder.

I've been with soundcloud for probably 16 or 17 years now, pro subscriber for the most part of that. It's had its ups and downs, and we all know the last while it's become very messy and unstable with very little human input to help.

I still use pro and use it weekly for uploads, that's not going to change any time soon. But I was wondering what alternative sites folk use that aren't full of bot listens, scam DMs, unstable UI etc.

Audius is pathetic, lots of reposting and liking but very little listening or interaction, and questionable analytics.

House-mixes and hearthis aren't too bad but reach isn't great. I've been with both of them for years too.

So, any usable alternatives out there?

I know there are a lot of musicians who hate fully generated AI music with a passion which I don't necessarily disagree with BUT what about partial generated AI music in that a human composes the song (i.e. music and lyrics) and the uses AI to bring the final product together.

Now the major difference between a fully generated AI song and a partially generated AI song is that fully generated AI song cannot under U.S. copyright laws be copyrighted in any way shape or form whatsoever, it is considered public domain, it is also ineligible to be registered with a PRO (Performing Rights Organization) such as ASCAP, BMI and SESAC meaning that it is ineligible to receive residual payments from play on services such as Apple Music, SoundCloud, Spotify as well as broadcast TV and radio play etc... whereas a partial AI generated song (again music composed and lyrics written by a human) IS eligible for copyright protection under recently updated copyright laws and the partial AI songs ARE eligible to be registered with the aforementioned PROs to receive residual payments from music streaming services and broadcast TV and radio.

What is everyone's opinion? I'd like to hear what you think.

Anybody having issues with getting paid out the last like two or so months i have put out several tracks have them monetizing and everything but when i get my monthly statement it shows a song i put out like a year or two ago and one play…. Mind you im doing my own promotion no AI stuff and have gotten well over 1 play. Ive tried their customer service where i got left of read by different people they will ask a question i answer it then they dont reply and someone else emails me a few days or week later its been 3 people now i believe and i sent a follow up email which was completely ignored. This is very disappointing ive been with SC forever and its always been my go to platform. Anyway if another customer support or someone can assist.

How is everyone’s music journey what’s been the hardest for you .

Bit of ouchie. Soundclound prices go up next week. It's been a good run, how they survived bankruptcy is showing up. Going to miss all my underground artists. I cancelled go+ subscription. Everyone I know has or is cancelling their subscription. He's to Temasek saving bankruptcy only to create a failing system years later. Calling it now. Goodbye Soundcloud, it will be like Myspace. Sucks to suck. Game over to the customer.

I’ve been on a SoundCloud grind and I just wanna know if it’s worth it or not I feel like it’s worth it but I’m just trying have fun with it but I’m get traction

So you can see when I started artist pro. 1. I’m still getting plays from Vietnam 3 months in, so very suspicious. None of my tracks have developed worthwhile longevity plays which is really the only thing I wanted. Reality is you can just keep uploading tracks, - get 2-300 listens, then the plays drop to nothing. So you can get these “listens” with barely any musical effort, in theory upload a track a day a month and get 10 000 listens a month that are really achieving very little, few comments, long plays, no like.. I want to know the algorithm! People are saying categories and tags are important! I’m in a niche genre, is it even worth it? Also it seems the algorithm may be TikTok style, if you don’t have people hooked from the first few seconds it’s a waste of time. Thoughts? Thx ps if o turn on motorisation will things get worse or better? Thx

I'm trying to connect with other musicians, but with so much AI-created music and artists out there, it's tough to tell who's authentic. A guy I've known for years sent me some AI-generated tracks and tried to pass them as his own, but he eventually admitted the truth. Although I "make beats," I'm glad I can sit at the piano and play. I might need to focus more on live playing rather than producing beats, since AI has made keyboard and computer-based music less relevant. Thoughts?

I bought my Artist Pro just for boost plays, but nothing had followed my account or even like my tracks. Now, I am really confused and have a problem now with no followers and no likes. I have 10 followers, and I haven't even reached a single 100 followers.
