Got this and a super slim white for 200$ already put hen on it. Feel like it was a ok deal ps3 are going up in price fast.

It's genuine, got the pressure-sensitive buttons and everything. It's an A2 revision so it has potentiometer analog sticks, hope it lasts.

Yeah I sure did put a lot of stress on the board. Microcracks and broken traces are very likely. The board doesn't really look bent, so maybe I'm just being pessimistic. I will do one more syscon diagnosis to see if I get a different error this time, if I do I for sure messed something up.

Cell looks intact btw, no issues there.

I find it odd, poorly optimized games, lot of screen tearing, low FPS than the usual PS3 games, overall SUCKASS games being too expensive for no reason.. oh, it is "rare"

While at the same time, you see high quality games, very well made, also would count as hidden gems, yet they are dirt cheap today.

I'd say, most Marvel games on PS3 are garbage, including Deadpool, Captain America, Iron Man and so on, the only Marvel game on PS3 that's good, is the Amazing Spider-Man, yet it is not as expensive as the rest of Marvel games.. This makes no sense

A game like Vanquish, made by Platinum Games, not like some nobodies, fast paced fun action game that is considered hidden gem even today, yet it is very dirt cheap. Same goes for Bayonetta, great hack n slash game, not many cared about, fun gameplay, yet also very cheap.

Then comes some suckass unfinished unbalanced game, yet sells for over a hundred dollars?

So I've got one early release PS3 (not one that can play PS2 discs) that has stopped working a very very long time ago. I could go down the path of getting it repaired, but the cost of buying a refurbished one from EB Games seems like a better option.

So, are they reliable? Will I get what I'm paying for? Or is there a better place to get a PS3 in Australia nowadays?

I left my PS3 on for a few hours a week or two ago to fall asleep to a DVD. When I tried to use it again, the video output was a still of a Netflix error code and the console froze. I was able to fix this through going into safe mode but I was curious if ANYONE has had this happen to them? I can't find anything about this specific glitch online.

My ps3 is still stock, it doesn't have any cfw, it's region is french and the game is japanese. I have other japanese titles which work perfectly but this one doesn't for some reason any help ?

I guess it had to happen eventually. My fat PS3's laser stopped working. I ordered a new laser and followed a guide to install it. But after installing, it won't accept discs. Any chance someone here has any idea of what I did wrong? I'm including pics of the old laser (on black table) and new, installed laser, if they help.

The other day, I took it apart and tried to clean the laser, and while that didn't work, it did still accept discs afterwards.

Would love to hear I didn't ruin it beyond repair!

I was dreaming about that question, is there any way to use a theme with a music loop? like, idk, the portal 2 one with the radio song in it?

or a better question, has anyone tried adding a song like i've said?
