Over sixty percent of us agree.

Is popularity right now is between 29-32%.

He's filling smaller and smaller venues on his current speaking tour.

His personal attorney is still covering up most of the epstein files from release.

We know that he bombed an elementary school in Iran because our military used outdated intel.

Prices are up and consumer debt is climbing.

He said he would run the country like a business , but all of his businesses have gone bankrupt. "Ill end the Ukraine war on Day One."

55

u/mineralphd 6h ago

That's his approval rating not his popularity. If he was able to run again he would still likely get close to half the vote. Republicans would vote for the absolute worst republican over the best democrat they have been brainwashed so much.

30

u/GayCatDaddy 4h ago

I just read a social media post a few minutes ago that said, "I will hold my nose and vote for a lousy Republican before I EVER vote for a Democrat!" That's why we are where we are right now.

13

u/N0stradama5 4h ago

They are swayed so easily. Give them a strong, male democrat and we have a chance. As a woman who voted for Kamala and Hillary, please let’s not run a woman this next one.

8

u/ArtBl0q 3h ago

Hillary/Kamala voting gal here...hate that you're right but we really need just a regular ole white guy right now.

-1

u/VariationBusiness603 2h ago

Alternatively... vote for policies rather than whatever your shitty medias tell you matters. Kamala was a "brown" woman and only lost by like 1.5%. And she wasn't a great candidat (the mostly campaigned like a right winger and dismissed if not outright supported an ongoing genocide kind of not great). And that is if the elections were legitimate which... is frankly questionable.

I guess my point is, I really don't think it matters as much as some people would like you to believe it does. I'm neither american nor a woman but I feel like your people learn the wrong lessons every time because your medias lead you that way. Trump defeated two neoliberals that happened to be woman, imo it's weird to focus one the woman part rather than the actually electorally repulsive part.

1

u/Pandagirlroxxx 2h ago

Won't make a difference. They are voting against the (D) no matter what. If the candidate is a woman, or non-white, or non-christian, or WHATEVER; just gives them a set of talking points to use instead of 'just because'.

•

u/mechanicalkeyboarder 5m ago

Ok but when we look at the last 3 elections which D won? The white male. So why did that make a difference in reality?

2

u/Cruise1313 56m ago

I agree. It has to be a man unfortunately.

2

u/WheelsUp_Photography 2h ago

That's the gist of the campaign ad Ken Paxton's wife did for him in Texas. "Even if you're mad because we suck, vote red."

2

u/throwaway5882300 5h ago

Half of the vote doesn't equal half of the population.

5

u/mineralphd 5h ago

I agree but everyone in the cult votes which is why the republican congressmen are so afraid of him.

1

u/outer--monologue 3h ago

In a representative sense, people who don't vote don't matter.

That's the entire idea of electoral politics. If you don't exercise a vote, you don't get a say and aren't included in the voting population.

2

u/hewhocannotbenamed6 5h ago

Half the electoral college

2

u/Ill_Criticism6214 3h ago

After three years of a catastrophic Great Depression, Herbert Hoover still got 40% of the vote for his re-election.

1

u/Horns8585 5h ago edited 5h ago

Trump lost the popular vote in the 2016 and 2020 elections. And, he only received 31% of votes from eligible U.S. voters in the 2024 election. He has never polled as low as he is polling, right now. His approval rating, even among is base, is lower than it has ever been. The only reason that he won the last election was because so many people would not vote for a black woman. They weren't voting for Trump, they voting voting against Harris or not voting at all. No way Trump would win half of the vote, right now...even with his brainwashed cult members. Too many people are too unhappy with his continual lies and broken promises, that have made their lives worse. Sure, there will always be the brain dead cultists, but a lot of Republicans have turned on him.

3

u/Any-Agent1289 4h ago

Unhappy with doesn't equate voting for a Democrat though. Just remember that.

1

u/Horns8585 3h ago

I agree. But, we've never seen this much strong disapproval of Donald Trump with his base. He has broken promises about no new wars and bringing down prices. Those are two core elements that won him the last election. And, he has failed miserably on both issues. His base is really starting to feel the financial squeeze of his policies and they realize how much their vote for him is hurting them. I think that their personal struggles, directly attributable to Donald Trump, would outweigh the benefits of being able to spread their hate. I think a lot of them would not vote for Trump, again. And, we will see a huge Republican and Trump backlash next month, at the midterms.

1

u/Fit_Service8662 1h ago

It sometimes mean staying home and not voting at all, which it's something I'll take.

1

u/filletnignon 4h ago

Don't get too comfortable. Don't underestimate the demonizing and gold glass messaging that the GOP has. They're extremely united and extremely savage with their attacks. Combine that with a minority/woman democrat candidate with corporate ties, weak policies, and bad messaging. They would rip her apart and paint her as the literal antichrist, who will mutilate children and destroy American cultural identity through mass immigration. Yeah the prices are bad and the president is stupid, but right wing voters can get very scared and left wing voters can get very unmotivated.

1

u/Nearby_Practice2793 4h ago

False not even close to half

2

u/mineralphd 4h ago

Wanna bet? Everyone knew how horrible he was in 2024 and he still got almost 50% of the vote

1

u/MasatoWolff 1h ago

Silent voters are the most dangerous voters.

20

u/Extension-Night3825 7h ago

>popularity right now is between 29-32%

Just think of all the shit that he has pulled and still at 1/3. If he had Obama charm he could invade Canada and do mass executions and most Americans would be OK with it.

21

u/wahwahwashbear 5h ago

I saw a news clip about his depressing 30% approval once that pointed out that about 35% of adults also really truly believe in psychic powers. So like, in any given scenario we should maybe just accept that 30% of the population holds beliefs that defy logic.

6

u/elmekia_lance 5h ago

37% of the adult population of the US believes in young earth creationism. There seems to be a rough overlap.

3

u/Almost_Lyrical 1h ago

That makes me sick

2

u/cjsv7657 58m ago

37% believes god created humans in the last 10,000 years. I'm sure the number is much lower that believe in young earth creationism. That would mean 37% of people don't believe in dinosaurs. While I have met someone who didn't believe in dinosaurs I can't believe it's that high.

1

u/Amazing-Mirror-3076 5h ago

You don't need to reach for psyhysic powers just look at the percentage that believes in some religion.

1

u/OneSecretCookie 5h ago

Religion! Look to the amount that don't believe in school shooting and think its a hoax. The Alex Jones show, the people that Harass the victim because they think its a fake goverment operation, even though the live in the town on the victims etc. People that think climate change is fake, people that think covid is fake and the vaccines are a secret poison with microchips. Hell I could keep going.

The crazy now is at whole new levels. Reality people dont believe in.

1

u/Amazing-Mirror-3076 5h ago

Whilst that is true - religion clouds the thinking of a far greater portion on the population.

2

u/Opposite-Job-8405 5h ago

A certain percentage is set in stone and will never change. He could do anything, literally anything, and he would still retain at least 25%

1

u/GaylrdFocker 6h ago

Racism and stupidity are hard to overcome.

1

u/lukekul12 5h ago

Most of that remaining popularity comes from people that have a single interest in policy, and trumps opinions align with that policy

Christian Nationalism? Support trump
Anti-Immigration? Support trump
Anti-LGBT+? Support trump
Anti-Socialism? You get the picture

They may grumble about some of the stuff trump does - rising grocery and gas prices for example, but if he’s hitting one issue they care about, nothing else matters to them.

And then there’s probably about 10% of the population that thinks it’s the previous democratic administrations who have lead to anything negative in the economy or social atmosphere they experience today

1

u/Minimum_Virus_3837 5h ago

Yup and some of those single issue voters are so extreme in their positions that they will openly admit they would trade our democracy and freedoms to guarantee they get their way on that one issue. That's Trump's base at this point.

That, and the portion of the population that thinks everything is so F'd up here that the only option is to burn it all down and start over, and see Trump as the best option to burn it all down.

3

u/Complete-Tangelo1532 6h ago

Speaking of, why in the hell is a sitting president on his second term campaigning to begin with??

2

u/OnlyFiveLives 5h ago

Because mainly that's the whole thing about the cult. And also we pretty much all know he has no intention of giving up power.

4

u/Helpful_Stranger_310 4h ago

welp, tbh - a majority of his 'cult' just got blasted into oblivion by the "Operation Quiet Piggy" mission of Ukraine, blowing up 3 Russian data-center/bot farms. Thanks Volodymir.

2

u/OnlyFiveLives 4h ago

I've absolutely noticed the difference, yeah.

1

u/Complete-Tangelo1532 5h ago

Nope... 'Fight Fight Fight' before a peaceful transfer of power

1

u/Mercury-68 4h ago

Mid-term elections

1

u/Complete-Tangelo1532 4h ago

He isnt actually on the ballot for election/reelection though... he SHOULD BE at the peoples house doing his job, and let those running a campaign actually campaign

All he is really doing is trying to build back popularity because he is scared of his inevitable accountability

1

u/Nearby_Practice2793 4h ago

He’s campaigning for midterms. Republicans run the house and the senate. For now. But Trump is so unpopular now they will probably lose one or both. And that’s when the accountability starts for him. Assuming the dems grow a set of 🥜

1

u/Delicious-History486 2h ago

He gets his jollies running his mouth in front of everybody

9

u/Worldly-Customer3963 6h ago

He's been elected president two separate times. Donald Trump is who the american people are and wish to be. At this point, it is an inescapable fact.

6

u/No-Cell-9979 5h ago

Yeah, no. He lost the popular vote by a not insignificant amount twice in a row and they've been pretty brazen about admitting they stole the 2024 election.

Get your head out of your ass

2

u/Ihatebeerandpizza 5h ago

He was elected twice. That's a fact, regardless how your voting system works.

2

u/No-Cell-9979 5h ago

And im saying he stole it once and earned the vote of 1/5th of America in the other. I didnt say he didnt win I just called his statement that all American people are him and wish to be him moronic.

Its a bot anyway, shouldn't have even replied

2

u/Disbelieving1 4h ago

Essentially, 2/3rds of American approved of Trump and his policies. 1/3 voted directly for him and another 1/3 weren’t even concerned enough to vote. That leaves 1/3 of voters opposed.

American is fucked.

0

u/No-Cell-9979 4h ago

What an absolutely moronic viewpoint, I have nothing else to add

1

u/VFL1900-DA 1h ago

Can you explain how that is moronic. I’m honestly interested in your opinion.

1

u/OwnCrew6984 40m ago

I can. You said 1/3 voted for him, 1/3 didn't vote for him, 1/3 chose not to vote. Now add in the 1/3 that can't vote due to age or non citizen lawful permanent resident. That gives you a total of 4/3.

1

u/IAmPrettehBoi 3h ago

Lazy Americans

2

u/Worldly-Customer3963 1h ago

Whatever you have to tell yourself.

1

u/twills2121 4h ago

Unless he actually rigged the elections…..

1

u/Olympicmessiah 6h ago

It sounds like you do not know what the electoral college is in the US. He lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton, yet still was voted in as president by the electoral college his first term. The people's votes do not matter!

So saying it is an inescapable fact is in fact, wrong. And is a fairly ignorant statement.

2

u/West_Adhesiveness273 5h ago

Uh no. Like half of Americans took off a mask that we didnt realize they were wearing. They've learned nothing after all this time, and have decided they do not want to. All of my friends are liberals and leftists, all of everyone's family are still Reaganist death-cult morons. We can't even trust they learn from the Trump administration's damage. They'll just do it again. And again. And again.

1

u/GreatStateOfSadness 5h ago

And yet, the second time, he was voted in with a majority.

1

u/No-Cell-9979 5h ago

After going on a campaign of openly cheating, after trying to cheat the first time "find the votes! I dont care how you find them!" After saying elon "knows the voting machines well" and him offering cash rewards to people who voted for trump. After reviewing votes and seeing that Trump somehow won in areas where democrats won further down the docket, implying many Republicans voted for Trump and then voted the rest democrat for some reason?

Every republican accusation is a confession, historically, and Trump continues to bitch and moan about Democrats cheating because he has cheated every single step of the way and you small minded people just parrot the same doomer shit over and over

1

u/Ill-Prior-8429 1h ago

If trump really won with cheating and Kamala was robbed, that doesn't make the American people look any better. If they had those numbers they should have used them to force him off, guilty by passivity is still guilty.

1

u/No_Alternative2948 5h ago

He did not have a majority his second term, once again more people voted for someone else.

1

u/Fisticvffs 5h ago

Then fix the fucking system, all you people do is say it isn't your fault and there's nothing you can do. So much for your constitution

4

u/Biobooster_40k 5h ago

America is run by oligarchs and is fundamentally broken at its core. There is no fixing it anymore, no one wants to admit it. As long as we have just enough materialistic distractions, we'll work hard enough to maintain our screwed up lives.

We eat like garbage, pollute our bodies and our environment while continuing to reduce our levels of activity. We spend so much money to ruin our own lives and with widespread corruption running rampant there's nothing meaningful we can do besides to minimize how much suffering we can deal with.

There's too much to say about the United States but we failed to stop the ruin of our country.

1

u/cy_hauser 4h ago

Can't fix the system. It takes 2/3 the votes to fix the system and the population is too close to 50/50. Now and almost always. (Conspiracy me wonders why this is. Science me figures this is probably just ststistics and some law of large numbers.)

1

u/therealhankypanky 5h ago

Yet...

In the 2024 election, Trump got more of the popular vote than Kamala (with approx 77.3 mil to 75 mil votes).

Only approx 63% of eligible voters actually turned up to the polls, so roughly 37% of the voting population couldn’t be bothered to vote (including casting a ballot against him).

Like it or not, most of America is responsible for this.

1

u/Historical-Dance-431 6h ago

Mate you're still taking figures given to you by network news as facts. You've learned nothing

1

u/whateverhk 6h ago

They don't agree with the way he's handling the economy, that's what these numbers really say. But would they still vote for him? I'm sure they would, because they hate their neighbour so much that starving and be the eternal victim is worth it

1

u/alaphamale 6h ago

Don’t let this make anyone complacent, just because some of them are done with Trump does not mean they’re going to vote Democrat. They are almost all still going to vote Republican. They don’t understand how anything works so expecting them to understand that just not voting Trump is pointless is foolish.

1

u/WhatANoob2025 6h ago edited 6h ago

Maybe, but it should be 100% agreeing and his popularity below 1%, not still around 30%. And the problem is, when you had the last presidential election those numbers were worse and not enough of you cared to vote. And the problem is you're not using your 2nd amendment right for the purpose it exists for. He's going to steal the midterms and you're gonna let him. He's gonna run for president again in 2028 (if he's still alive) and you'll let him. And frankly people like you are the problem, who point out how many of you are against trump RIGHT NOW, but don't actually do shit, and expect the world to give you respect for that. From day 1 of his first run you have been repeating every. Damn. Single. Mistake the germans made starting in the late 1920s until the end of WWII. Germans didn't know better back then, but you had a fucking precedent and even though everyone told you, you still went ahead and did what you did.

1

u/OnlyFiveLives 5h ago

Because it turns out all the frothing 2A ammosexuals are perfectly fine with treading with they like the person doing it. So yeah, Americans deserve everything they're getting.

1

u/Confident-Stand5453 6h ago

Is popularity right now is between 29-32%.

Thats an astonishingly high number, considering how he acts and talks. Almost 1/3 of an entire country's population being stupid enough to actually want that. Insanity.

1

u/Jemal999 5h ago

The fact that it's still in double digits says way too much about that country.

1

u/speaky24 5h ago

29 - 32% ffs

1

u/Artistic_Ask_2282 4h ago

Trump is like a hair metal band in 1994 that is playing small clubs after playing arenas just 3 years earlier.

1

u/Kenny_log_n_s 4h ago

30% approval rating is a scathing indictment of the American education system

1

u/AutVincere72 4h ago

22.5% of Americans voted for him. That was at his peak.

1

u/Altruistic_Finger669 4h ago

Yet, a majority of you wont do anything. When the midterms ends up with very "suprising" results that will make his majority bigger that they are now, and he will claim "see, the polls are fake", you wont do anything.

Sure, you will travel to your states capital, raise a no kings sign, and enjoy a saturday out with your friends. And you will surely write some harshy worded posts on X and reddit.

But that will be it. A month of dramatic critical coverage. Some loud but toothless protests. And then you will all go back to your places of work and conclude "well, its all stacked against us anyway. The democrats are almost as bad"

1

u/EsToBoY629 3h ago

where are you getting 29-32% stats from?

1

u/BalodyaMan 3h ago

If there are no ppl on the streets then I guess americans are OK with all of above.

1

u/LeftToaster 3h ago

According to 270towin, Dems are leading in 220 House districts to Republicans 200 with 15 toss up.

In the Senate they have Dems with 46 + 2 Dem Independents and Republicans with 47 and 5 toss up.

So at best - Dems could end up with a solid, but not veto proof majority in the House and edge out a small majority in the Senate. That's not exactly a resounding repudiation of the Trump led GOP. Look at the election maps in the farm states. Fucking welfare queen farmers will lose their farms but still vote GOP because they care more about imaginary men in women's sports or what bathroom or pronoun people use.

1

u/ShottyMcOtterson 2h ago

do you think he could fill "The Four Seasons"? lol

1

u/Hot-Equal3441 1h ago

30% agree. 30% didn't give enough of a fuck to even vote

1

u/Crafty-Help-4633 1h ago

Also tested a new missile munition with tungsten pellets on a volley ball practice.

1

u/Ecstatic_Donut_3014 49m ago

60%.... lol sure

1

u/sulkee 7h ago

Incorrect. You have half of a voting base that doesn’t vote.

2

u/Hopsblues 6h ago

It was a third in the '24 election, roughly..75m for trump, 75m for Harris and aprox 70m didn't vote.
