Nope. Racists, a few billionaires, many pedophiles, and the Christian Nationalists have a free for all now. Nothing will be done unless the next 2 elections purge the criminals.

I hope, but I don't see how. There is little doubt in my mind that hundreds, if not thousands of pardons have already been filled (likely part of the onboarding process to work at this administration) and signed, and just waiting for a date to be written.

If there is going to be prosecution, it is not going to happen in Trump's lifetime. He is going to pardon everyone in this administration, and to change Presidential pardons, it is going to require a change to Presidential pardons in the Constitution, which is not going to be happening anytime in the next 15-20 years while the MAGA iron is still red-hot (even after Trump shuffles off the mortal coil, it will cause a revival of MAGA). It is also going to need a complete overturning of the Supreme Court, which unless it is stacked, we're going to be waiting a long time for as well since some of those people still have another 30+ years left in their lives.

Trump will be long dead, many of the politicians who enabled this will be long dead, the corporate leaders who helped orchestrate and participate in the corruption of this administration will be either dead or offshored their money and fucked off to someplace without an extradition policy, and his family would have done the same. Even if Presidential pardons are changed via amendment to the Constitution, it is going to create a massive legal problem going after someone for things they were pardoned for. An amendment would need to be extremely specific and enable the Judicial branch to be able to ignore pardons under very specific circumstances, and in such a way that the language used can't be vague and used as a political weapon the next time the pendulum swings.

Pardons can be revoked if they're found to be improper. Lawyer-Oyer is a great one to watch for information on the illegality of these pardons. We would need a STRONG congress that was strack in its mission ...

so, yeah - trump will be long dead.

Is there precedent for that? A Supreme Court ruling, time where one was overturned, or anything else? Presidential pardons are considered plenary; broad, without checks from Congress (even a functional one). There are no conditions in the Constitution to allow challenging one even if they deem it "improper". This stems back even to the mass pardon issued to all those who took part in the Civil War.

In fact, there is a very specific court case where the courts determined that pardons can NOT, in fact, be overturned. See: Schick v. Reed, Since the pardoning power derives from the Constitution, Congress or statutory law cannot limit or override it, including provisions in the UCMJ or parole statutes.

Which, again, brings us to the original point: altering pardons requires a Constitutional Amendment alteration, which is not happening in any of these bastard's lifetimes.

Would it stem from conviction for the bribes? It doesn't get more 'pay to play' than what this regime has been doing and they're sloppy about it. Hard to fathom that CZ, along with hundred of others who literally bought their pardons would be allowed to keep them IF they were proven to have given bribes in exchange.

Not a lawyer, but if the motive of the crime committed is to get a pardon, surely they would forfeit that, no?
