Just saw the photo accidentally, I feel horrible for this man and his family, for what happened and for those photos of it happening being circulated publicly.

I mean, how could it not? It's in the goddamn after-ride pictures. People probably saw that and started snapping photos immediately.

At Disney World photos of your death cost extra.

I mean, they could have shut off the monitors or something (is that still how it works? I haven't been to a park in a long time). You would think they would have some kind of protocol for this.

As a former WDW cast member, I said the same thing.. I can only speak for Disney World in Orlando, but any inappropriate ride photos are removed before guests get off and are never shown to them.

Also, the amount of boobs, middle fingers, etc. in ride photos at a Disney park that get removed is crazy lol.

You would think they would have a protocol for shutting off the screens if a man flies out of the ride?

Yeah, seems like all attention would be on checking his safety at the moment

I guess they're now going to link the ride photo stations to the E-stops.

being circulated publicly

I totally hear you and also six flags would lie their ass off if they weren't.

Eh, it's hard to cover up a death. There will be 911 records, the responding ambulance, the coroner's office, the family, and of course everyone that was there that day and saw it.

Any idea how to find that photo? I can’t get my head around the geometry going on.

Edit to add: here is the (official) video of the ride (when working normally). The ejection happened about the 1:45 mark as the ride tilts left and then turns left, following a drop. My guess is the restraint came loose in the drop, then the ride tilts left, and he doesn’t tilt with it, and drifts up and to the right (relative to the coaster car) and then he gets drug along the top of the other riders as they are being accelerated forward while he is not. And the coaster turns left, and he continues straight, onto the roof of the building.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=M-gfd0WnWO8 skip to 1 minute in to get past where the the coaster is being pulled up.

sad that that is now the underbelly where all non-approved things can be found.

Non-approved? It’s just a pic of a dude very clearly not in the seat of the coaster. Yeah, shit is going wrong, but it’s not gory.

The problems with Twitter are MUCH bigger and deeper than images that may upset some people’s stomachs.

“It’s just a pic of a dude very clearly not in the seat of the coaster” no it’s not “just a pic.” It’s a man’s terrifying last moments alive. It captures the trauma of a kid realizing his dad is no longer beside him. Gory or not, this photo absolutely should be considered non-approved
