I drive a truck and am always aware to never do this shit. It’s quite easy to be considerate and still drive a truck. And I always remove the hitch when I’m not towing, mostly so it doesn’t get stolen.

Yup. My hitch stays in my bed and my backup camera allows me to back the bed up to the beginning of the sidewalk and not over it. I would think at least two of those trucks and maybe all three have backup cameras so for them it really is just not giving a shit.

Thank you for being a good human.

Are they that easy to remove? Not sure I've heard of hitch theft being an issue but I've also never owned a truck.

if you leave it in all the time they're very hard to remove because they rust together

I'd love to get mine off the commodore (left from previous owner) but that thing is just as solidly attached without the pin as with

Extremely easy. The hitch I have cost me $300. These are called tow n stows, which further exacerbates how dumb the above pictured drivers are.

I just got my first truck. I live in a big city. Fucking thing is so hard to park. I immediately installed and front and rear camera. It fits exactly the length of a home depot parking spot. Luckily it's just a second car for towing or when my wife has the first car.
